Idk if this unpopular but I think Batista has gotten a free ride in his wrestling career as far as fans opinions of him. He was never a good promo until maybe very late in his career, and he was never a good wrestler.

He was massively overpushed, but because Cena was pushed a bit more, Cena got all the hate and Dave didn't. That's dispite Cena being way more talented and deserving of the spotlight he got. Cena's promos were consistently better over that time and his matches were too, but he got relentlessly shit on by fans for years.

Think Batista is definitely the better Hollywood actor (though Peacemaker has changed my opinion of actor Cena some), but in ring wise Cena is miles better.

It was a great gimmick. It just never made sense how he transitioned from the dark deadman character to a redneck biker and then back again.

While true, it's hard to criticize them for not being able to logically transition to anything from an undead undertaker gimmick. At the time I complained about the American badass I admit, but it did work. Probably because it was actually somewhat close to Mark Calaway as he actually was (cranked up to ten, as is the common wrestling trope) while he had figured out how to work well and was reasonably healthy.

Vader is still the tops for big men IMO, but Bam Bam deserves more accolades too.

Another big man that deserved a world title run and was good for his size was Earthquake. He looked great when WWF booked him as the top heel until brother brother put an end to that.

All true. Earthquake is very underrated. Good athlete, the best monster type wrestler that Hogan faced in the WWF, would have been a fine champion for Hogan to chase between big PPVs.

Very true that Batista got off easy from fans, though he did get some shit. I'm not a Cena fan by any stretch but he's still a much more talented wrestler than Batista ever was.

Thing is Cena got forced down everyone's throat with a 10+ year run with the golden shovel. Batista never had the golden shovel.

That's where the real hatred comes from

Dave did too though, just not as much. I feel like he got a pass because Cena got a slightly bigger push and Dave got to hide because he was the "smackdown" guy

Nyla Rose is the best big women division wrestler of all time. Better than Awesome Kong, Chyna and Beth Phoenix.

Those 3 are no doubt very good and powerful. But Chyna was very wooden when she wrestled. Beth Phoenix was great techinically but I think Nyla's better due to her top rope athleticism. Kong in her prime is a close 2nd.
This should obviously been in red font. What about Sonny Kiss

Turning heel ruined Otis.
I though this too. WWE has been a joke for over 15 years. This is one of there many mistakes.

Aja Kong and Bull Nakano

The brand split is the biggest reason why the WWE has sucked over the last 20 years.

What else were they going to do with the influx of talent after the WCW/ECW purchases? Not saying I am pro-brand split but I understand why they did it.

His best in-ring work was as the American Badass. People complain about it too much, in addition to overrating the dead man gimmick.

Its because he had only the one title run and it wasn't very long. His other championship reigns came before & after.

It could be that. I always figured it was because it wasn't what people wanted, so however good he was didn't really matter. If he'd always had that gimmick then people would probably talk very fondly about the American Badass period that we did see, but instead it's viewed as just a deviation from the more popular deadman Undertaker. That's my guess anyway.

They should understand that less is more and that 5 hours+ of wrestling each week ends up being watered down filler. Too many PPV's as well. When talent is that spread out and there is that much time to fill, WWE could never figure out how to put together good storylines on a consistent basis.

And to understand why they did it....$$$. Two "brands" pay more than one.
