Based on rumors yesterday at the AUC, it may have been Nicolas Savoie. If true, big get! Top scoring d-man (48 points) with last years Memorial Cup champ Quebec Remparts, but is more known for his defense. He was a finalist for top defensive defenceman in the QMJHL last year.

Totally agree. Also, good insurance marker if there was ever an in-game D-man injury.

I think that was just a playoff spot.

With 10 games left for everyone, UNB has 40 points…Moncton (24)/SMU (22)/X (21) all could end up with more.

Sproule had his arm in a sling. Hard to say how serious but I am fine with resting him as long as needed. The "perfect season" isn't that important. More important to be healthy for the playoffs.

He’s played four games in 2024 for Tulsa…so he wouldn’t be allowed to play this season, would he?

IMO, UNB is solid and deep and can replace Sproule as long as he isn't done?? They have scoring by committee, so not an issue in regards to offence.
If Savoie indeeds turns up this weekend??, they would be able to move a D-man up front.

Blagden in with Sproule out…which I think is a smart choice given SMU’s physicality.
