I told you he was "gone".
Is there any more to this? I recall an interview Roth did last year when he arrived saying that he was “looking forward to help contribute whatever he could to the team over the next few years.” Circumstances obviously changed!

Not that I know. Was told that he's gone.
I'm in Halifax. I'm sure someone in Freddybeach could go to practice and see if he's on the ice.
That's what I would do if I needed to know.

Connor Hall with a fighting major so he's out for the PEI game. I'm guessing Barber will be out too as he may have a concussion.
Don’t think so. St Laurent picked up an instigator on that fight. Usually that means no suspension for the other player.

Agree on Baber. I’d be shocked if he plays tomorrow. Couldn’t stand on his own going off the ice.

Correct on St-Laurent's instigator, Hall shouldn't be suspended

I believe a Fighting Major carries an automatic 1 game suspension. I didn't see the game so I can't comment any more than this.

Instigator + Fighting + Game Misconduct = 2 games minimum.

Still waiting on the Dillon Boucher decision from the SMU-DAL game Wed night. I didn't go but there was some activity.
Peyton and Dunn both got fighting majors and Boucher a Check-From-Behind-Intent-To-Injure match.
Peyton and Dunn are posted on AUS page for 1 game.
I would suspect, with his history, Boucher getting At Least 5 games.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if AUS slaps Hall with a one game supplemental suspension for his Gladiator style performance to the crowd and Moncton bench after the fight. University players aren't supposed to do stuff like that. 😀

Nothing wrong with being a Gladiator.

I assume Nolet won't play until January? Also with Hall out tonight, they will be shorthanded on the backend.

Maybe it's an injury?
I think it is safe to assume we won't see Nolet until January. All I've managed to find out is that Roth is not playing and he is not injured. With at least one new body coming in after Christmas, and perhaps Kamerer ready to go I would hope it might get clearer.

Roth has not set foot in the AUC since October from what I can tell, been to 2 practices and he was not on ice and he hasn't been with scratches during games..
Sproule was sitting with them last night on a positive note!

I have confirmation from someone outside the team, but who knows Sproule, that he will be with them after Christmas. Practiced once already with UNB and apparently said it was the hardest practice of his life.
When UNB REDS Mens Hockey is following guys on Twitter that is as good as confirming. Lol. :)

Hall played in UPEI and got a Misconduct at the end of 3rd period. Nothing on AUS site about suspensions for anyone in the UdeM game but the game was only Friday and it takes a few days for it to get posted.

Where does the dust settle anyway on open/available roster spots now that we’re at the break? Does anyone recall UNB ever bringing in more than one guy at Xmas? Have to think if there’s availability/a fit that they will pull the trigger

They brought in Hall and Hawerchuk at the break in 2019/20.

Also Halley and Duffy in 2013/14…although they only had one roster spot left, which went to Halley. Duffy played one exhibition game with UNB (against STU) before leaving and joining SMU the following year.

It's not easy to bring in several guys. First, there has to be someone out there who can help the team. Then there obviously has to be room under the cap, Factor in team chemistry and other intangibles.

With hindsight (and at the time) I think Hally was a better fit than Duffy.

Hall needs to reel it in come playoff time. Too many stupid penalties

Can confirm he is not graduated. I am at UNB as well on staff. I am really curious though too so am going to see if I can find out more.
Roth left the team. Was not happy with his role, minutes, etc. Was one of those guys who did not add to the REDS chemistry. It was good decision for both sides from what I was told. He is switching schools at end of term going up to Windsor.

Campy you would know!! :)
