I’m not even going to view this from a UNB only perspective . Acadia is the perfect example of how stupid the roster cap is. I pray to god this changes eventually
I’m not hopeful it will…but it would be nice to even go up to 23.

Honestly, I’ve given up on complaining about the roster cap, plus it has hardly hindered UNB at all since being implemented (certainly not as much I felt it would).

Really hope Gatenby isn’t the next casualty, he returned to the bench but didn’t play another shift . I fear we are about to become the second half’s Acadia …
On a positive note Dove-McFalls has really impressed be on the top line the last few games.

Tomorrow night is going to be tough…short bench playing on the island.

Gatenby not on the ice to begin the 2nd…

Casey/Nurse/McEwan line has been very good all game so far.

Oh my god. What did we do to the hockey gods :(
You knew someone was going to get injured tonight…there was never a doubt in my mind…but not the ideal candidate to go down.

Considering the injuries they have played pretty decent…had lots of chances on the PP…but the lack of finish is evident though. This is Capriotti’s 3rd straight strong game against them.

Am I blind or is Hall gone ?
Edit : yup he’s gone , Keating and Hall are tonight’s casualties . 30 seconds left , I predict Guay slips in the parking lot or something …

I missed it at the time, but Hall left 5 minutes or so into the game. Seemed to be game of attrition strategy by Panthers - they really tried to work over Dove-McFalls during the game.

Stop it. You're making it sound like UPEI is targeting people. They play a physical game and sometimes cross the line.

Too bad that the FISU Games were cancelled but I think it might a good thing for the team to remain healthy and get heathy.

I don’t think playing McGill is going to be a ‘tough’ game with stats similar to Moncton. It looks like it will be more of a scrimmage especially since it’s game 2 for McGill on a back-2-back road trip. So, not every will be required to play if they’re not ready.

I notice Brandon Saigeon is still with Wheeling in the ECHL. Hasn't appeared in every game and no call-ups.

Nathan Larose is in the AHL now with San Diego, but only for 4 games so far. Looks like he only played 3 games in the ECHL? Injured?

Around the rink a lot of fans were taking about UNB “picking up a couple of recruits” over the break. There is no guarantee there will even be one. There has to be players available to recruit.

That’s the catch…who might even be available? And do you want to commit to potentially four years to the guy?
