I have Alvarez winning 29-28 but ugh, these are the fights I hate watching. Pettis did more damage throughout the totality of the fight but Alvarez wins via control/positioning. Half the fight was grinding on the fence.

No issue with that. That's a huge win for Alvarez. Wins over Melendez and Pettis now.

I don't think he did enough to get a title shot. Wouldn't mind seeing Alvarez vs Ferguson to determine the next contender.

Cheering for Cruz, but predicting a Dillashaw win. Cruz leaves a lot of openings and Dillashaw hits hard. Dillashaw is also the better wrestler IMO.

Had Alverez winning as well but man I wouldn't expect a title shot with that performance. Maybe Pettis vs Barboza would be a good fight for Pettis next.

As for Cruz vs Dillashaw, I think Cruz will win by decision.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. We'll see if UFC matchmaker Conor McGregor feels the same way.

It's kinda that kind of performance that cements him as a top 5 guy with the results, but shows that he actually lacks high-end elite level skills in that division.

I'm not Eddie fan and while that wasn't an exciting fight he does deserve a title shot. He beat both Pettis and Melendez.

Dillashaw has yet to figure out the range. He's really chasing.

Another super close round. Gave it to Cruz because of the takedowns

Dillashaw is still edging the striking though. Missing a lot, but still landing more and better than Cruz. That wrestling of Cruz is what makes the equalization for him

That's another close one but Dillashaw landed a bunch in the second half of the round. Do the takedowns give it to Cruz even though he didn't do anything with them?

I'll go 19-19

Nice little scramble.

This is high level stuff from both guys. As expected.
