The security guard was actually a covert agent sent from Nill that tricked Boston into trading him. Gaglardi told me, he was drunk at Top Golf.
I don't know who leaked it or whatever, or who these unnamed sources are, all I know is that whenever the Bruins have been asked about it directly, they have not entertained it and have not said anything publicly about him other than he's a good kid who has gone through growing pains like everyone else. The Bruins have traded this kind of player before, twice, and have no history of smear campaigns. The Red Sox 1000% do, their owners are diabolical manipulative type of people who have launched many a pathetic smear campaign and the fans have given them hell for it. The Bruins have not.How did the media magically find out about it weeks after it happened? The team leaked the information to grease his exit with the fans. It makes the narrative for trading your stud 21 year old much easier. You can say that's not true because it lowered his trade value but if you look at the return he got one could argue that they could have gotten more for him.

Has Seguin denied it? I know his parents came out and had all sorts of things to say, but I don't know if they ever came out and said it wasn't true. I'm not being sarcastic or anything, I am genuinely asking because I really don't know. I know if something like that was said about me and it wasn't true, I would definitely make sure that I cleared the air on it.
I absolutely agree that they could have gotten more for him, but I trust their judgment that that was the best package offered to fit their team, and they did not want to go forward with Seguin on the team. So far it appears to have positively impacted both teams.
Seguin told me it didn't happen, so there's that.
They did play him at center when Bergeron was injured last year and he was a disaster.
I'm just going by what happened. They aren't going to give him a chance at center because they have two centers who are better than him and who are also core players. Maybe they tried him at center in practice situations, training camp, and didn't like what they saw? I don't know. But he was never going to be a center for the Bruins simply because Bergeron and Krejci were in front of him. It's not like he sucked as a wing and couldn't play wing, he produced at wing, he just didn't produce goals in the playoffs, and it was the last straw. This is the problem with half truths. He played center for just a game and half after playing wing for nearly seasons. Way to give him a chance at center.

99% of the "party" info that was "leaked" came from his supposed friends posting pictures to twitter and instagram. The biggest mistake he made was not choosing better friends and hanging out far too much in the local college party scene. Way too many "Sequinistas" that cared more about proving to their friends that they were hanging out with him than protecting their 'friend' from unnecessary media coverage. But I suppose now the come back will be those "friends" were really hired by the Bruins FO to follow him around and take pictures to leak out to the internet.
According to TMZ, Seguin bought Modano's former mansion in Dallas.

First part, yes. Bob and Dan Show on 1310 AM The Ticket in Dallas 10 July 2013.Has Seguin denied it? I know his parents came out and had all sorts of things to say, but I don't know if they ever came out and said it wasn't true. Second part, agreed. Early return looks sorta like the 1995 Nieuwendyk/Iginla trade in reverse.Bob: "The story gets out that [the Bruins] have a security guard outside your hotel room in the playoffs."
Seguin: "That's the one that really ticked my mom off ....... I'm not sure where the story of the security guards came from."
Bob: "But you have a guess?"
Seguin: "I've got a couple guesses, but I'm not going to ..."
Bob: "Right, right, but that paints you out as this guy who's ... can I make a Cornholio reference? Do we think Tyler gets Beavis & Butthead jokes? Tyer, again, very young, don't know ..."
Dan: "Just make a Dora reference."
Bob: "He's not THAT young ... but he's this lunatic who's going to break out of his hotel room at night."
Dan: "I think he scaled out the window to go party ..."
Bob: "Like Spiderman."
Modano and Seguin? It means that there's a lot of beer and a lot of girls in Dallas, and that THAT house has seen them all.Does this mean Mike can finally pay for his unjustly enormous dog food bills?
You saw that "behind the scenes" puff piece the Bruins put out about the trade. They absolutely did their best to sell the trade by talking about how Seguin is soft and doesn't fit their system, which was all garbage. I have never seen a team put that much effort into trashing a traded player. It was classless, but the Bruins wanted to sell the trade.I don't know who leaked it or whatever, or who these unnamed sources are, all I know is that whenever the Bruins have been asked about it directly, they have not entertained it and have not said anything publicly about him other than he's a good kid who has gone through growing pains like everyone else.
