Gauthier and Chychrun imo are more physically impressive.

Wrt since Fisher, Greening was likely more physically impressive, dude was the kind guy you'd select if you wanted to clone an army...

Gauthier is a massive dude and I’m sure he’s strong as hell but Chychrun looks like a bodybuilder. Rod the Bod style.

Greening was a monster.

I remember reading that Greening also had a 3.9 gpa at Yale lol.

I read this and googled, turns out in 2018-2019 after Greening retires from hockey he enrolled at Harvard for an MBA.

He’s also a member of the Cornell ‘Quill and Dagger’ society.

Gtfo.

They can be that bad. We see first round selections bust all the time. In some cases, it would have been more accurate to DND the player than have him ranked in the first, and in my opinion, that is the measure of drafting ability. In terms of WAR or wins (or whatever metric you like), how close does a team or scout get to the theoretical max on each pick?
Well not often. But to call any prospect a do not draft with league consensus being in the second round…. DND. This guy has ZeRRO chance of making the nhl or ahl in any capacity whatsoever. Do not draft. It’s just silly a dumb and they may just not know what the f*** they’re talking about lol

Kleven is currently skinny AF. He'll get owned by smaller guys with solid cores. Reminds me of Tkachuk in that way. It'll take him a few years to fill out.

Gauthier pretty much is a body builder and has been since before he was drafted, it was a running story line about how much he worked out, his grandfather being a runner up for mr universe, ect., he just hasn't gone into the competition slim down stage during the season

Uhhh it's his first game. He ain't done yet.
, not talking about the hockey side, just their physical attributes. Kleven is still a bean pole and while he'll grow into his frame idk that he'll ever get to those other guys level.

He will likely impose his size and strength on the opposition more than most of them them as he gets experience though

Huh? I think it's almost a certainty that Kleven becomes our most physical player in a couple years. You watched him just wipe players in NCAA? Not hit... wipe.

Yeah fair play. Just meant he doesn’t play lean like Chych. But the dude is a mountain of a man.

And that’s really not going to change much. He is already 220. They are all built that way and maybe 10lbs more on his frame won’t change that

Highest I’ve seen is at UND this year at 213, all other sites have 200, but UND shows changes each year.

I trust the UND number.

And if you look at his family, genetically he won’t be a thick guy. Even 230 on the frame won’t look “beefy”

Pretty good debut. Had a bad read on the first shift but that was the only notable blunder. He is going to have moments like that, how quickly he takes the next step will have a lot to do how much he can eliminate those bad reads.
I think that was the shift when he coasted into the slot hoping for a pass or rebound to get a high danger zone shot; that left an opponent F behind him who got a breakaway on our goal. Glaring error on his part but I think he learned something on that play.

I have wondered in the past if such DND labels are related to a player's behaviors on or off the ice rather than his skills. Whenever a DND label is suggested, the poster should say why.

The shots on goal last night ended up being 46 for & 11 against & only because of very weak goaltending & a couple of defensive lapses last night did this game not become a blowout. The Sens dominated Philly in almost every category, it was an embarrassment really that the game went into overtime. Lots of positives to take away from last night's game if it wasn't for the injuries that have plaqued this team all yr long.
Yes but the one negative that seems to stand out was the bad goaltending.

I think Kasty has that fire, he was livid last game after Watty’s fight. Looked like we wanted to rip buddies head off.

Goat will never be that guy I don’t think, but as long as he leans on the opponents D every chance he can he’ll be helping on the physical side. In a playoff series these big guys can really wear down smaller players.

We're going to have a few of them some day with Tkachuk, Kastelic, Ostapchuk, Kleven & Boucher.

Good to see it looks like we got another one here.
Might even be able to play in the top 4.
We just need him to do what he does on the bottom pair though. Looking forward to seeing him next season after a hardworking summer.

Thought he looked ok again in a fairly defensive minded game. Had a couple miscues with the puck on his stick but mostly played the puck well.
