The first show of TD was pretty good . I'll watch the 2nd one tonight . We are also watching Banshee.......I'm glad I stayed with it . We are on episode 5 ......and he has been a busy guy after hours LOL....he certainly has a type ! Lots of action in it .

Definitely stick with Banshee.

Season 3 is one of the best seasons of TV I've ever watched. The whole series is so ridiculous it borders on surrealism but the entertainment factor is off the charts.

Double feature today, Zone of Interest was more haunting than sad, but still hits you in the feels at the end.

ISS sucked!

RIP Carl Weathers

Watching Dune again in prep for Dune Part Two. I think it has the best VFX ever without exaggeration. Something about the early convo between Paul and Leto also hits very emotionally.

AMC has first one back in IMAX, debating to go to it again before sequel hits.

I would. Even at home, the sound was thunderous. Villeneuve put a lot of care into the VFX and SFX to make it completely photorealistic and immersive.

The only thing I didn’t really understand was the Sardaukar (sp?) and Baron Vladimir Harkonnen being able to either jump insanely high or able to float in the air. Maybe I missed that in the books?

But I really can’t wait until the next one.

I'm pretty sure the Baron was able to "fly" in the books -- he was portrayed that way in the original movie (which also was faithful to the book). I think he used some kind of mechanical device that allowed him to do so. Not sure about the Sardaukar -- they didn't have any special powers.....it could have been
a result of their special training (which was harsh).

We both agree.....he cracks us up . There are some great one liners throughout the series .
You want another MAX show, try ‘Strike Back. It’s a little over the top with the sex scenes but that’s par for the course with (skin)emax productions.

i personally loved it.

I've never been fond of Jodie Foster and she's only making me dislike her more. I do find the story line interesting though.
Episode 4 was ROUGH. Why are we still digging into backstories when theres only 2 episodes left??

My God this show may have the worst writing in the history of HBO. And the acting is flat out terrible

And the ending the guy says "Were all in the Night Country now"... so cringeworthy. I mean you are literally going to use the show title like that? lol Horrific.

Oh god not another Alien movie.
Are you mixing this up with the planned streaming series?

Sounds like a "nay" instead of "yay" then. I wanted to wait until all episodes to binge at once.

If you are interested in an anthology series, check out The Terror. There are two seasons with standalone stories. They just announced a third series after a 5-year hiatus.
