Are you mixing this up with the planned streaming series?

Sounds like a "nay" instead of "yay" then. I wanted to wait until all episodes to binge at once.

If you are interested in an anthology series, check out The Terror. There are two seasons with standalone stories. They just announced a third series after a 5-year hiatus.
It might be worth a watch just to see how historically bad it is. Sorry to ruin it for you lol

What service is Terror on?

I think I'll save my time lol

Terror is on AMC+.

Edit: Supposedly it's on Prime Video too.

Just looked up the Terror. Right up my alley, definitely looks bingeworthy. lol

If you like historical fictions, check out The Pale Blue Eye on netflix. Based in West Point NY. Christian Bale is in it, but I'd read the book first... really well done and better than the movie (as always). However I was happy with the adaptation and the kid from Harry Potter who played Edgar A Poe did a really nice job.

Awesome. Hope you enjoy it.

Pale Blue Eye has been on my watchlist awhile!

No. The “fifth” Alien movie is being released this summer. I didn’t know anything about a series.

I wouldn’t say the new True Detective is bad. I’m enjoying it but I’m also not paying rapt attention. There seems to be a lot of unnecessary filler.

Is season 2 of The Terror worth watching? The first season was great but I didn’t watch the second one.

Episode 4 was ROUGH. Why are we still digging into backstories when theres only 2 episodes left??

My God this show may have the worst writing in the history of HBO. And the acting is flat out terrible

And the ending the guy says "Were all in the Night Country now"... so cringeworthy. I mean you are literally going to use the show title like that? lol Horrific.
That's strange -- There should be 8 episodes. Wonder why the change?

Same, we have all the hype of this weird "murder" and it's gotten about 5 minutes of screen time over the next 3 episodes. I don't care about the back stories and filler storylines. Season 1 was all about the murders/investigating. Not feeling the same here. I also really don't like any of the characters.

It feels to me like they had this script that was written to play out a certain way, but as they went into production realized that they would need X episodes when the budget accommodated X-Y episodes. So now they’re trying to cram 10 pounds of crap into a 5 pound bag and it’s working out as you might expect. Very disorganized.

The new FX ‘Feud’ installment is pretty interesting. I won’t say it’s exactly good….but it deals with an era in U.S. History that I generally have a lot of time for. Plus I’m a sucker for anything oriented around really old money, and when you’ve got individuals that inherited fortunes accumulated in the post-bellum industrial era you’ve got my rapt attention.

’Griselda’….might be good? One episode says ‘keep going’.

’Criminal Investigation’. Apple TV U.K. production that’s kind of o.k. but not really good. I’m gonna finish it but wouldn’t recommend.

Really enjoyed ‘The Brothers Sun’ on NFLX. Rare example of a NFLX series that gets better as it goes.

Have not started S2 of ‘Tokyo Vice’ yet or ‘Masters of the Air’ yet but looking forward to both.

Arguylle was brutal, the movie is throwing in another twist every five minutes.

Lisa Frankenstein was a fun 80’s nostalgia movie if you grew up with those 80’s teen movies, good date night movie.

I'm halfway through episode 5 and now I'm totally confused.....the only thing I'm enjoying is Christopher Eccleston.

Funny that two platforms release their take “based on true story” re. this female drug lordess. Netflix has this series while Hulu released a movie. My wife wanted to start the movie but it was so bad we had to drop watching it barely 30 min in. Netflix show actually looks way more promising (after one episode) so we will stay with it.

I have an interest in Feud. But what I'm anticipating from FX is Shogun.

Meanwhile...

Yeah Shogun is gonna be a banger.

I want nothing to do with Twisters. I had a rather unpleasant high school dating experience that involved the first installment😂
