Watched Netfix "Leave(ing) the world behind". Once again came away disappointed in Hollywood ability to develop required story and characters in the 2-hour movie format. Might have been a decent story if it was a miniseries. Great acting from a pretty good cast couldn't save it either.

I saw the trailer -- didn't look appetizing. Ritchson looked very young.

I'm kinda torn but the Canadian aspect of both are great humor (I was born in Canada)

Finally finished Lawmen Bass Reeves -- it's really a shame what they did with such promising material. No pizzazz at all.

Was that the Julia Roberts movie? I thought the idea was good but the execution was horrible. Felt like a garbage low budget movie that dragged on with nothing happening and no ending.

Yeah, that movie had great actors and set up a good premise but the execution faltered as it went on and it did feel like a far weaker and TV type movie than it should've been. Sadly that seems to be the case with the vast majority of Netflix original productions.

My family is Russian speaking and my parents watch these Russian movies with terrible low budget over dramatic acting, music, and lighting and I always make fun of it and this movie was exacty that. I can't believe how far Julia Robert's has fallen that movie is low budget trash.

So she is likely heading in the Bruce Willis and Nic Cage trajectory ? One or the other is in just about every 2nd level action movie these days . LOL.....I wonder what they make for their role in those types of movies on average ? Would they get a million a movie ?

I heard Bruce Willis is in poor health and can't even speak right now. So I'm guessing he's no longer in movies.

Bruce Willis has Frontotemporal dementia, so his career is unfortunately over.

Nic Cage is broke, so he takes movies with shit scripts because he wants to make money
