It wasn’t good.
That wasn’t my expectationto each his own. Was a Sopranos episode. If your expectations was Goodfellas, that was unrealistic.

A very mediocre 1 at bestwell, it was a Sopranos episode.
And that was the problem. It was written like TV when it should have been written like a movie.well, it was a Sopranos episode.
Just wrapped up Squid Game. Good thrill ride.Best acting and camera works I've seen and remember in a very long time.
I actually need a philosophical round table after watching it.

I haven't watched it yet...but I mentioned what you said to a friend and she agreed with you 100%. Gonna give it a look-see today. Many Saints: I didn't think it was great, but I liked it. The whole time I kept thinking that it would make for an interesting series. As a standalone movie, meh. As a standalone Sopranos movie, the nostalgia was cool.
I'm critically pissed at the ending and the lack of critique of Korean capitalism.
The ending was a bit of a downer, as was the ultimate motivation of the game, which is definitely not a new premise. I can name a way different genre, two-worded movie that explored the same premise. And, well, there are plenty of other comparisons and mash-ups that already have been identified in the media. And, I caught on to the twist that occurred at the end like around ep. 6.
Tell me the name of the movie, pls.
I'll wait for it to hit on demand, but from the trailers it looks like someone's passion project. It's got that vibe as opposed to a movie with going- through-the-motions look and feel.Dune was great. Really fantastic visuals and acting. Just wonderful all-around.
It’s more than that. It’s a passion project backed by an infinite supply of budget, talent, and creative freedom. Somewhat like when The Fellowship of the Ring came out.I'll wait for it to hit on demand, but from the trailers it looks like someone's passion project. People could never imagine Frodo Baggins as anyone other than Elijah Wood (and thank god for that if you’ve seen any Lord of the Rings artwork pre-2001…)
Kyle McLachlan (bless the man) is no longer Paul Atreides, I can tell you that much.
