Even if you have to take a downgrade in goaltending, I bet the effect of having a guy that will at least show up and ****ing battle to the end will have a more positive effect on the locker room for a team that needs to get back in it. I can't imagine another goalie, short of going under the knife that wouldn't ****ing be ready to go at this point in the season no matter what.

I mean, is there another goalie in the league who has a comparable amount of random abscences for big games? My god, Fleury was ****ing bananas and roasted non stop in the playoffs and he ****ing showed up.

Would you move Rask and Pastrnak for Carey Price this summer if you knew you could resign Price for the next 8 years at 8.0 million?

I would rather die of the bubonic plague than trade David Pastrnak with Rask for Carey price

Would rather move forward with McIntyre than move Pastrnak in any deal for Price if its decided Rask is gone

Oh heck no! I'd keep Rask for sure. You completely lost me when you said "trade Rask and Pastrnak". No way, no how, does trading Pasta make sense for another goalie. We'd be better off with Rask staying, streaky as he may be.

Posted this on Rask trade thread, thought it was interesting.

It is unwise for the Bruins to sell low on Rask here. The only difference is between Vezina quality Rask and current Rask is that high danger shot save %.

I don't think Rask has gotten worse at saving those.

Top 4 Bruins D by TOI
2012-14: Chara, Boychuk, Hamilton, Seidenberg
2015-2017: Chara, Krug, McQuaid, Kevan Miller.

I think it's an easy argument to make that old Chara, small Krug, and lumbering McQuaid and Kevan have given up harder high danger shots than the old group more than Rask not being as good anymore.

Facts are tricky wintersej. People like to ignore them to feed their impulses.

Some people still want to blame him for last year when he had diarrhea and vomiting and couldn't play. NHL goalies lose 10 lbs a game as is yet people are still mad online because he didn't go out there and **** his pants while allowing 6 goals

Should he be playing better at the moment? Most definitely. But to act like he's a bad goalie who must be given away is ridiculous.

No offense but..

Its this kind of thinking that will keep the Bruins collapsing for years to come....

Cassidy said before the game he expected rask to practice Monday now we all want to pretend it is because of last night .

I will admit it was a huge huge game for him to miss but if he is going to miss it he might as well be away from the rink.

Not a chance in hell people would turn on price in a year or two here and we'd be in the same boat but with no pasta to watch.
