I have my issues with Rask but on this you are absolutely right.

I've been so busy I haven't had time to really watch each game, plus I recently cut the cord.

In the event, this is the proper perspective. It's easy to blame Rask -- and I have done so, because I'm still not certain he handles pressure well, witness his illness history surrounding big games.

Yet, from what I gather, there has been plenty of poor play to go around. Bad defense. Stupid penalties at the worst time. Boneheaded plays. Poor to insulting officiating. Etc., et. al.

The Bruins have beaten themselves, and OTT has taken full advantage.

The first commandment when you're in a hole is to stop digging.

Let's see if they choose to do so tonight.

Wow.

I just rewatched the Sens only goal tonight (at 1/15th speed and 1/4 speed on super HD, big screen TV) and Rask absolutely robbed Ryan with the reach-back paddle save but Chara's stick knocked it into his own net.

Own goal, Chara --I **** you not. Rask actually 100% saved that and Ryan's momentum had him behind the net as Chara's stick hit it into the net (with McAvoy there to clear it).

That would have been in the highlight pack for save-of-the-year.

Rask played his ass off tonight!

Although I don't directly blame Chara for this goal (McAvoy's blunder) he has cost the B's a few goals in this series.

First half of the game he had me NERVOUS. Pucks going through him, he had one could under his arm that almost went in. But then after that he went full terminator. Just a freak second half of the game.

Came up super clutch. He was the biggest factor in the win.

BUT

The way he played those breakaways was god awful. GOD. AWFUL. Lays down for Stone when all he had was a backhand, literally pissed his pants and laid down.

And for Pageau it was Weise' breakaway for the Canadiens a few years ago, 5 hole as wide as the grand canyon, I thought we were done at that point, but he clawed his way back and shut the Sens down.
