On any given year he could be 1 or 5 but if Claude had managed [Rask] correctly he'd be there with Price
Would you elaborate a little on this, what was done wrong and what could have been a better course of action?

It's a little easier to win cups when playing in an era when half the players in the league never would have made it to the NHL pre-expansion.
I don't understand. How does league-wide talent dilution make it easier for any one team to win a cup?

Tuukka has never been able to handle these ultra high work load seasons. Price struggled at it as well down the stretch. Even Butch has commented that price was over played when he took control.
A better course of action would have been to manage the backups better. Dobby played well down the stretch and I don't know why he sucked under CJ but tuukka should have been rested more.
This is why I'd like to hear more about why Dan thinks Julien could have done something else regarding Rask, unless he's talking about bringing Rask up post-TT. If he's talking about the start of this season, I'm not clear on what could have been done since ALL of the backups were performing very poorly.I think if the back ups actually stopped a few pucks from the beginning of the year that would have been the plan

Don't bother. The guy thinks Bobby Freaking Orr is overrated.
Just a little something to give thought to when drawing conclusions about when a player looks at another player......but in actuality has this to say:
“He’s solid,†goaltender Tuukka Rask said of McAvoy. “He can move the puck. He can skate. Has made some really nice defensive plays I’ve noticed. It’s not easy when you come straight out of college, have to play a playoff game and log a lot of minutes, and he’s stepped up and carried us.â€

Well I'm usually really good at reading body language in real life and hockey as far as I know is real life so what gives. Tuukka's body language often says the same thing when a a bad goal is scored. He looks at a given player or shrugs his shoulders as to say WTF are you doing. I can't count the times I have seen him do that even if I use both hands and my feet.
He hasn't been the problem in this series. Cmon people. That calapse was the team in front of him. There are plenty of things to complain about, Rask isn't one. Coverage is a big issue with the lower lines. Guys are laying back and giving Ottawa to much room, where as Ottawa is on them immediately as soon as the puck is on the Bruins stick.
Does anyone know what his record is after losing a game in the playoffs?
I remember the year we went to the Finals he had a pretty great record after losing a game.
As soon as we lose a game this thread gains 5 pages, after a win it gains one or two. It's sad but for whatever reason some people seem to be actively rooting against him. He certainly has to be better than he was in game 2, but the amount of blame he's getting is pretty ridiculous.
Always going to get more posting after a big loss, after a win a lot of people make there yes Bruins rocked tonight ,Rask or who ever was great, than there off to do whatever there going to do,party go to bed whatever. After a big loss some times *****in helps get the loss out of there system.I can be asleep in 5 min after a big win ,takes a lot longer after a big loss that's for sure.
