The Leafs game was probably the worst of his season, pucks were simply exploding off of his stick. Fantastic response from him. With Getzy presumably out, he's really gonna have to big dick it and carry a line.

Incredible. His production has dropped, but it feels like it's because he lost both of his linemates and no offense (pun intended? ) but Lettieri and Steel is not Getzy and Rico. Terry is still doing a lot of things right, this shift is a prime example. Some better net-front presence and there would be a goal

Is he using a longer stick this season? Caught my eye a couple times last night and recalling a few times this season where I confused him for Getzlaf. He looks huge out there and seems like he has a longer reach or something.

Terry was cooling off before the Getzlaf and Henrique injuries, but their return should still help him get back on track. Steel looks like an AHLer most of the time.

Me after last game: yeah he really is doing great this season, but idk if he will keep this up, he is shooting at 28% right now
Terry: ups his shooting percentage to 33%

I was gonna repost this at the end of this game when his shooting percentage was going to be like 20%, and in jest say just how correct I was and then he scored two goals and upped his percentage to 24%

Terry will be a great winger for McTavish or Lundy in time. We haven’t really had a playmaking winger like him for a while. He’s only expanded his repertoire this season by improving his goal scoring.

I wouldn't say I was a "hater" as I've always wanted him to succeed, but I was definitely skeptical he could raise his game to the level he has this season. It's great to see him do so well and prove me wrong. Hopefully he can keep it up.

17 goals in 29 games. 48 goal pace over a full season. Insane.

EDIT: This year and the next at 1.45M. Still a RFA although arbitration eligible.

I see a big change in the way he stickhandles this year compared to previously...but maybe that's just me. Before it was a lot of high risk dangles in a quick succession which he certainly has the capability to do, but stickhanlding through the "triangle", aka pushing the puck under the defender's stick to the other side, has been his bread and butter moreso this season.

I think Terry has gotten even quicker this season as well. He wasn’t slow last year but now he’s a well-above average skater imo.

He seems more “powerful” to me this year, whereas last year he was still more like a gangly kid. He’s still not going to rock anyone with a check, but he doesn’t get knocked down/off the puck if you sneeze in the 3rd row any more.

And the big thing is he is using that speed/quickness increase in new ways on not trying to play the same game he did last time (or rather has added elements to his game). Lot of people commented that he's also looking stronger, he's using that speed and strength to circle out high and shoot the puck a lot more this season, I don't really remember him doing it (at least effectively) in the past. He seems to be finishing the same chances he didn't last year plus finding new ways to create offense that weren't in his game at the NHL level before.

He is so good at turning defenders feet and hips. Makes it really hard to defend him.
