Draisaitl is worth more than Trouba in the next year or so.

Trading RNH FOR Trouba doesn't make the Oilers better.

I'd be willing to bet that it does make the Oilers better. Besides, the Oilers couldn't get any worse.

McDavid/Draisaitl will be fine as the 1-2 punch and a top 4 of Larsson, Trouba, Sekera, and Klefbom will be incredible considering 3 of those 4 guys are 23 and under.

Problem is that there is a gaping hole at 3C but I'd rather have a hole there than a hole on the right side of the D.

If Trouba had realistic contract demands I'd trade RNH for him.

Nuge for Trouba might be a good return if we can't get a defenseman. I heard previously the coach was hoping at some point to move Bryan Little to wing where he was very productive. Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler and Laine-Nuge-Little would be a very very strong two way top 6. Connor-Perreault-Stafford for a 3rd line seems alright too, with Dano/Armia/Roslovic fighting for that RW spot when Staffords likely dealt or walks at the end of this season.

Darnell Nurse + 2nd + something small, get it done Chiarelli. Cheveldayoff love's Nurse type players look at what he did picking Logan Stanley 18th overall.

Thoughts about...

Trouba to Philly for Streit and Sanheim?

Philly gets a big, RH defenseman. Jets get a veteran LH defenseman to help them this year and an elite LH defense prospect.

Seriously? Trouba would instantly be your best Dman and while RNH has a good 2 way game he still takes up $6m in cap space.

The only way the Oilers aren't better is if Draisaitl can't handle 2nd line center duty.

There is no news of his contract demands, only rumours which aren't facts.

Jets would have no need or desire for RNH as a return.

Ok sure then i guess Jets fans hope they can parlay Trouba into an equally valuable asset. One that fills a position of need.

Good luck!

You can bet Chevy won't trade Trouba for a prospect that hasn't shown anything more then 3rd pairing potential. nurse even play in the NHL this year? Get real. Are you going to suggest Yak for Trouba next? Post serious offers or don't bother.

Fair enough.

Clean, inexpensive, safe, an hour to commute to lake country...

I would honestly accept that many players would prefer to play elsewhere.

May I respectfully request that your in-depth research about a city includes checking how to spell the name of the city prior to slagging it?

Thanks.

This is why!

I hope Chevy takes his time and gets the appropriate compensation.

I don't care if it happens next week, next month or next year.

Yes?

I'm thinking Columbus for a 1st rounder, Murray & Hartnell (salary dump so they can afford Trouba).
Have fun playing for Torts Jacob.

I haven't read the thread at all. Nor do I care to. If RNH for Trouba is no good and 'doesn't fill a need' then goodluck getting something better for Trouba.

How can you have such strong opinions on a player you clearly know nothing about?

It has one of the highest violent crime rates in Canada...and the highest of any Canadian NHL city.
