1 year of Bishop that Winnipeg doesn't need for 4 years of Trouba, This makes very little sense for Winnipeg and with the other signings Yzerman has for next year not sure if Tampa can afford to give Trouba $5+ million long term.

Bottom line is that Winnipeg has Hellebuyck up now. No need for Bishop they're not going to give up important assets for 1 year of Bishop especially seeing that Winnipeg isn't a contending team yet. Pretty sure any other piece Yzerman would add Cheveldayoff doesn't need.

3) There is no reason to do so at the moment. If we get Trouba, we lose a good player to expansion draft.

Any deals to upgrade D will be made in the offseason IMO.

I thought of this point, but I don't think it would kill a potential deal.

If Toronto acquires Trouba for Gardiner then he just takes Gardiner's spot on the expansion list. If Toronto acquires Trouba without giving up Gardiner, then they would willingly sacrifice Marincin/Carrick to the expansion draft.

Yup pretty much all of his clients end up in this exact same situation, Pretty sure that's why most GMs don't like dealing with Overhardt.

He's just doing the whims of his clients. His clients are selfish, greedy A-holes and they simply go to the best agent for that.
