This is just a basis if there isn't a top LD to be had out there. Avs prob still have to add like 1st rounder as well. But that's a lot of big time potential going the Jets way for a guy asking for big money and who regressed last year. Be it he was forced to play his wrong side.

Zadorov + Rantanen is the basis, not this crap....

Wait, wait.....so the OP offers the Jets two "ok" unproven prospects for Trouba? And this is the kicker.....OP also expects the Jets to take salary dump back?

Wow, this is a horrible offer for the Jets, why don't you also claim you want Ehlers thrown in there. Brutal

Just wow....so bad for the Jets.

Really underrated part of this proposal. LOL

Almost like a certain presidential candidate saying, "We're gonna build a wall, but make Mexico pay for it."

Given everything that has occurred up to this point, it seems unlikely that he would sign a long-term deal. I think a 1-2 year deal is more likely. Doubt he gets traded with Chevy appearing to be sticking to his price.

The reference to a long-term deal includes one that he might get after being traded to a preferred destination.

I, too, doubt he signs a long-term deal with the Jets.

Basis?

You guys are in for a rude awakening, kind of like the Bruins fans got with the Hamilton trade.

I don't think he moves unless we get proper value. The organization is patient to a fault, and I believe they are willing to let him sit. Trouba will also not pass up the payday, so he'll be at least under contract by December 1st

OP is so bad, it's comical. Love the fact few Avs fans defending OP. I won't make an equally comical offer for any of their top players. So bad.

 If I suggested Connor and Morrissey for Barrie, how would you feel about that?

I understand why Avs fans wouldn't want him. He'll be in the same situation in Colorado as he would in Winnipeg. Only difference is he could at least get high legally :yo:

Rantanen + Bigras/Zhadorov probably gets it done. Gonna have to pay within the division. Colorado doest like, then they can continue doing whatever it is they're doing.

We're not right up against the cap so we don't have to worry about Trouba signing a sweetheart offersheet that we can't match.

I understood the plan was to take the 4 x 1st and run, run like the wind?

Doesn't seem like AVs would need Trouba? Jets need a LHD, same with Colorado (Johnson and Barrie on the RD already).

I get if a team doesn't have a need, just say no thx. But when an OP creates an offer, a need is assumed. That offer of two "ok" prospects plus a dump is comical. That offer likely wouldn't even be considered it's so far out there.

Like Stanley and Armia for Duchene or Barrie. Easy no thx, post serious offers or don't even post them.

No thanks from the Avs.

Not a fan of Trouba, and Bigras looks well on his way to being every bit as good of a Dman if not better.

In that case I have the perfect D-man for you! Mark Stuart looks like exactly what you are looking for with the added bonus of physicality, heart and veteran leadership!

If the Avs need wingers, it could be a package deal, as the Jet's have them in excess (maybe not 1st line wingers, but 2nd to 4th line ones). I could see any of Dano, Armia, Burmistrov, Lowry, Copp being part of the deal.

Considering the most success Jets have had in five years of being in Winnipeg is making the playoffs once and getting bounced in four straight games, I'm not sure what Winnipeg is doing is that amazing either.

Seeing as Cheveldayoff is an extremely careful general manager he'll probably sit on this Trouba situation until most of the value is squashed.

Look at the team that arrived. Now look at the prospect list this team had at that time.

Now look at the team we have now. Now look at our prospect list.

Now look at the average time it takes a team to complete a turnaround.

That's your answer. :)

LOL. I guess Sakic is a pretty terrible GM so you could be right

Yeah he sure is terrible. He's only gotten all of our core players locked up on reasonable deals and he didn't cave into Roy's demands of blowing up the core to make a big trade. Sure he had a couple rocky moments at the beginning of his career, but he's made strides to becoming a good manager.
