Winnepeg: Lindholm (leftie)

Anaheim: Trouba (rightie) + 2nd

Swapping two guys who haven't resigned yet.

Both get first pairing duties on their respective teams.

I like this... but depending on what Fowler could get as a return first. Id rather see Fowler gone and potentially get a good return than lose Lindholm for trouba... but its a good idea

If you'd ask that from the Oilers that means that you feel that you could get comparable returns from other teams. Or would your GM just have a special price for us while giving Trouba away for peanuts to another club?

Leaving my team out of it, why exactly would the other teams deal the bolded players for Trouba especially is he wants more than the players that he's being dealt for?
Lindholm plays left I guess so position change?? For faulk I would assume Winnipeg would have to give a big plus. The others idk.

No team would, unless there was a big add coming from Winnipeg.

Trouba is probably tired of waiting for the Jets to give him a D partner to play with. Stu is a great guy but he was atrocious last season...especially in the last half.

Favourite part is:

"Jacob Trouba doesn't want to play in the bottom pairing anymore," Lawless said. "He wants to play with Dustin Byfuglien or one of the other top four D in Winnipeg. He wants power-play time. He wants to be a big part of what they're doing in Winnipeg if he's going to be here for a long time."

The 22-year-old is coming off his entry-level contract and had career lows of 21 points and 22:04 average minutes of ice time last season. He averaged 1:17 of power-play ice time, fourth among Jets blueliners.

Ahh Jets fans, don't worry. He's a legit superstar...

More like a guy that had a lot of potential but was ruined by Bogosian and hasn't put it all back together.

True. If he's forcing his way out Winnipeg, why the f*** would he go to another rebuilding team like Toronto?

Because he actually would get an opportunity to play an important role on the team in a great hockey market with a very talented up and coming team who has excellent coaching and management.

Honestly can't stand the trashing of Stuart by Jets fans. Show some class!:shakehead

Well Mark is a great guy but he has been bad for a while and he was atrocious last season. Sorry if that offends your sensibilities but sometimes the truth hurts and is tough to sugarcoat. I do respect him as a man and a good teammate but his hockey playing was beyond bad.

And what is your offer?
Dont want prospects or wingers, we want a d-man back...
Now Toronto is out of the Trouba race.....

Is somebody throwing out a rumor that he's on the block now?
I'd move Myers before Trouba.

No but it's HFBoards so the garage sale junkies tend to show up at every thread of an unsigned player to bring out their dead.

Seems like something Benning would be salivating over. Trouba seems like his type of guy and Tanev seems like the sort of guy Winnipeg could go for.

So Jets fans, Tanev for Trouba. What do Canucks add?

Well, atleast 1 maybe twice a month a Leaf-fans wanna trade for Trouba, offering JVR/Bozak or/and pick/prospect, or D-prospect and a winger prospect...
So I just said before he creates a topic, he needs to know what Jets want :P

I would LOOOOOOOVE for the Leafs to go after Trouba. With that being said, this is probably a bunch of smoke with no fire. High end RFAs have tough negotiations with teams all the time, but almost always sign anyways - the RFA system is designed so that the team can almost certainly keep the player if they want to, and I'm sure the Jets want to keep Trouba.

Not much value wise, but IDK if Tanev could play LHD with Buff.

Baker’s Bay
Overhardt gonna Overhardt

I see this playing out much like the Ryan Johansen situation. It'll drag on into camp and pre season with player and agent threatening to hold out then they will probably agree on a 2 year bridge deal in the 5-5.5M a year range then the Jets probably end up trading him for a solid return so they don't have to go through this crap with Overhardt all over again a year or two later.

Just what Red Wings should be looking for. Also, he's Michigan born and Holland like those. Can something be done?
