Change Provorov to Sanheim to keep Flyers fans from roasting you. It would also be a trade I would do.
I would be okay with Sanheim. Just trying to take advantage of the Flyers huge weakness in RHD.
I'm so glad we got Jones. Or I'm sure the boards would be filled with Trouba for Johansen threads about now.

It's an interesting hypothetical - Johansen and Trouba share the same agent, Scheifele hadn't broke out at the time and there wasn't any talks about Trouba's "demands". I believe that because of Overhardt, it wouldn't have happened, but it would have made sense in some ways.
What I think about this? Let him move on. Of course I'm disappointed, but if a player shows simple unwillingness to remain with the club, it is better to say goodbye, never come back again and focus on replacing him as well as you can.
If Trouba can bring back a decent replacement or a high end LHD prospect, pull the trigger.
If you can find a decent enough replacement WITHOUT involving Trouba... then the tables will turn big time.

Lindholm isnt going anywhere additionally its not nearly enough imo...would look more like Trouba plus Laine 4 Lindholm. There is a sizeable gap between the two, exacerbated by the trade demand which depletes his value, which while still good isnt in the Lindholm realm 4 me.

Bruins give up a lot, but Winnipeg doesn't get quality back (at least for a team trying to make the playoffs).
Unless Winnipeg has bigger plans for Joe Morrow. (probably not, but wishful thinking)
My guess is Arizona swoops in throwing Chychruns name out there, their young GM seems rather bold.

I'd be pissed he was the centrepiece of a Trouba trade.
I also don't see any "bunch of futures" for Trouba trade. The centerpiece player involved in the Trouba should be a decent roster player or at the very least close to being NHL-ready, otherwise we may as well let him sit out this year and trade him when there is a more favorable offer

Puljujarvi is the only way for Edmonton to get Trouba.

Delzotto was the flyers best d last season and has been consistently pretty good. Top pairing guy for us middle pair when we're a contender. That being said I'd move him for trouba but i wouldn't add any of the top five prospects.
I have a question for the Jets fans. What is the team needs? What kind of salary can the team acquire? Will the team be looking for picks/prospects to be a big part of the deal or will they be looking for a player? A combination of the two? What positions does the team need help at?

Defense, defense, defense. Either a really high end prospect (Werenski) or a top 4 guy (MDZ) packaged with a good prospect (Larsson). Nothing else.
(all names are examples)
E: also a highly unlikely "another Trouba" type of young top pairing defenseman. But... yeah.

So Philly, a team trying to fix their defense, trades away MDZ who was on their top pairing last year and will be again this year....and their best D prospect in Provy.
TODAY, MDZ is as good as Trouba. We have no reason to trade Provy in any deal. If the deal was Streit and Sanheim....it becomes much closer.
LV could still pick MDZ even if he's UFA. They only need to pick 20 players under contract for 17-18.
