There have been many times on the Jets board that posters have provided information on things that no major source has even had a sniff of. And those things turned out to be 100% right. Sure there are some posters you can't trust and we really don't care if you do believe us but there are certain posters on the Jets board who have gained a reputation for having good information. So I choose to believe them. If you don't... well that's nice for you...

I don't get the impression that he necessarily needs to be the #1RD on the team he goes to but he definitely wants to see play on the right side, top 4, with plenty of PP time. I wouldn't rule out teams that already have a #1RD.

Just don't see Cheveldayoff dealing Trouba to Edmonton, Doubt that Cheveldayoff will want to face Trouba 4 to 5 times a year. Still think that Trouba will get dealt to an Eastern Conference team.
A poster on HFB Jets who has connections has been saying for months that Trouba wanted out and we should expect a trade rather than a signing. Meanwhile, all the media reported that both sides were interested in a long term deal, until yesterday.

I seriously doubt that Trouba would get dealt to Boston without Krug going the other way. Krug is a solid offensive D-man that Winnipeg could use. Without Krug going to Winnipeg i doubt there's any deal here.

Flames would never do that trade. We would lose one of Hamilton or Trouba to expansion. So the trade would be Johnny for Ehlers + 1 year of Trouba. No thanks.
Garret is usually our main inside guy. But that will likely change because of his job. We do have others though.

It's not an overpayment from the jets per say. It's more of a why would either team do it situation.
