No, we not interested. He's one of those guys who get you to playoffs. But not through playoffs.

Didn’t the guy win tournament MVP at WJC?

I have no idea if the guy would perform well in the playoffs, but I am very confused by the definitive narrative that he would be a playoff bust, simply because he sometimes scores highlight reel goals?

Come on man, you're embarrassing the rest of us Montreal fans. Zegras is 23. He's still has runway to get to his peak self. Making proclamations like he's just a complimentary piece is no better than the geniuses that declared Slafkovsky a bust.

You can recognize the quality of the player but be reluctant to pay tge price for any number of reasons. Sometimes there just isn't a fit. And sometimes we fans like to think we're smarter than the gms.

I personally don't see a fit based on each teams needs but I don't feel the need to try to devalue Zegras.
I have experience is why. Obvious you dont. I Been around to celebrate 10 cups. Know way he plays, contract knocked him off his game. Can tell his demeanor. Zegras over rated. Going to be another Dubois mistake.

Will to win usually puts them over the top to win cup. Players with great passion for the game usually achieve this.

How many of those cup teams were you the gm of? did you play on? Coach?

How many Anaheim pra dices have you run? How many games have you been in the locker room for? Oh, also, can I borrow your time machine so I can see how a 23 year old Zegras matures as a player over the next few years?

You're just so.e dude on the internet, just like the rest of us, so don't act like you have this incredible insight the rest of us xant possibly have. If you don't want to pay the price for Zegras, or you just don't like him, that's fine. Making pronouncement like "you don't win with players like Zegras" is just as close minded as "Slafkovsky is the wortst 1st OA ever"

It doesn't make you seem smart or insightful, it makes you seem petty.

Somebody close this thread. This is legit becoming one of the dumbest thread I’ve read in a long time.

Anaheim wants a premium return for a premium asset that they’re not even looking to trade in the first place.

Pretty sure Ducks fans don’t want to hear anymore about how Zegras is apparently not built for the playoffs (lmfao) or shitty prospects + late/mid 1st.

/The end.

We don’t need another 33 pages of this nonsense.

This is some peak LARPing. You enjoy polishing your cups, mister Tortorella, while the rest of us enjoy watching Zegras do his thing.

Can tell by his play. It's easy with experience. He doesn't have the compete level to get you to a cup. Nor the physicality of two months playoff marathon. He's complimentary player. Good piece, but not foundation piece
You have no idea what you are talking about. And you can’t tell by his play because it’s obvious you don’t watch or know anything about him except Facebook comments and twitter.

Yeah everyone that’s watched a team win the cup can never be questioned again. Hahahahahahahahahaha you take yourself way too seriously. Get a grip on reality bud you aren’t special because you picked an NHL team when you were a kid. Everyone watches playoff hockey.

No, he doesn't fit our culture. Lacks heart, another Dubois. Way overrated. We don't want him.
Good. You're wrong, but good. So let's lock up this thread & let it permanently drift down & off the page

(like I had hoped over the past week of no new posts...alas)

Where does this even come from? Lol

You can say he doesn’t fit the culture, or whatever…. But why proceed to make up stories about him lacking heart or calling him another Dubois(when they literally have nothing in common).

Kinda kills your statement…. And makes you seem like you just hatin to hate and have no clue about the player

It really shows how little you know of the player and how much you are pulling from thin air and/or regurgitating the opinions of other clueless fans.

Dubois is a flat line type who shows little heart and often looks like he doesn't care. Zegras is literally the exact opposite. He is one of those people who wears his heart on his sleeve and if anything is guilty of A) getting over emotional on the ice (leading to undisciplined penalties) and speaking his mind a bit too much off of it, plus B) trying to do too much rather than making the simple or obvious play.

Zegras is a fiery, competitive kid, you could not have possibly come at this from a less informed angle.

I know plenty of fans that have been watching hockey for several decades and spewing ridiculous opinions the entire time. Being a longtime fan does not give you valid opinions on players you very clearly have not followed at all.

You see what Oil are doing?? How in your wildest imagination think you can do that with a team on guy like Zegras?? Somebody who's contract hassle wrecked his season. Take your rose colored glasses off!

It was the major injury that wrecked his season - again very obvious to anyone actually paying attention. He was playing great just before that and was very clearly the team's best player for the final stretch of the season when he returned healthy. I don't think you are being honest with yourself, you haven't watched or followed him closely enough to be sitting here telling Ducks fans you know him better. The fact that you compared his personality to Dubois, was really telling. You couldn't come up with a more opposite personality, really outed your lack of knowledge on the subject. The smartest hockey fans know enough to know when they are not informed.

Anaheim would want a hockey trade, most likely a young d man similar in age and pedigree.
I don't really see one - if you do please reply.

So, if there isn't one what is the value for Zegras? A 1st? Two 1sts? A 1st and blue chip prospect?
Rs have Garand and high risk, but can break him in now, sell high on shesty IF FOR TOP DOLLAR

what do ducks add to TrevZeg to get Shesty?
