lol zero chance. When Frederic grows up he wants to be Lawson Crouse
Sure everyone wishes they where as good as Lawson fing Crouse. Keep up the good work

Actually it's been the shit on Frederic quarter, because he's been shit since the season started. Convince me that he hasn't.
You can pick any and every player on the roster thats been shit, convince me otherwise but lets key in on Freddy.

You must love Pasta's game right now.

No need for what aboutism here. Freddy's been shit, and other players being so or not being so have nothing to do with that. We are keying on Frederic here because this is the Trent Frederic thread. The roster thread is where we can dump on everyone as whole, and there is plenty to go around.

You said Freddy has been shit and thats fine but I pointed out so has the rest of the team so why single him out Regardless of what thread it's in.

Let give him a chance to snap out of it like we with the rest of the roster now that corpes is gone from behind the bench.

Two very solid games. Go to net - he’s got underrated hands

Softgomery benching him in 23 playoffs pissed me off

Like to see him go on a streak get 15 or so goals and extended

He seems destined for Blues but doesn’t seem like a fit there with Softy now coach

Note : I read Frederic sucked last game so found 2 hours of my very busy schedule and rewatched and lol, um, no

I hope he turns it around, but he sucks right now (along with a number of others). I want them all to snap out of it: Geekie, Pasta, Coyle, CMac etc. but until they do they are fair game :)

You must have watched a different game (I took time out of my very busy schedule also!). Unless it's that he has been so bad that the bar has been lowered to the point where he was okay last game. That's possible.

Trent Frederic isn't good enough to coast. If he's not scoring, which he isn't, he should be trying to be physical and get engaged, draw a penalty, and he hasn't. He's not good enough to wait and hope things change, he has to assert himself and make that happen himself.

To be fair, he hasn't exactly been great on the eyes during on ice showcasing either.

I don't think anyone interested in Freddy would be basing that interest off his performance this season. They might use it to negotiate a lower ask, but overall I think it's fine for him to sit for a game or two to feel shame and think about what he's done.

How long have you been using this nickname for Monty? I don’t think I saw it before he was let go. Just curious.

I really don't get the passion around the discussion of this player. Honestly. He is what he is......a serviceable bottom half roster guy who can bring a little physicality and maybe give you 15-20 goals, but he's inconsistent as heck.

He isn't going to bring a lot back in trade value, so keep him around and let him walk at the end of the year. He's not a guy you stretch for to re-sign.

Why? He’s -10 with 3 points in 15 games.
Why indeed.

He is largely an inconsistent ghost.

It's true he has scored in respectable numbers the past two seasons.

Some say he is physical and brings energy. I don't really see it. Certainly not on a consistent basis.

If there is interest in Frederic, and apparently there is, I would deal him in a package for something of value.

I like Freddy (for his smarts mostly), and have always like Freddy, but the Bruins are only going to have $11m in cap space. Don't handcuff yourself in free agency by signing Frederic. Use all of that $11m to land a whale: Rantanen, Ehlers, someone who is a legit 1st line talent.

You can't let Frederic walk either. Teams froth at the mouth for 'rugged' middle6 depth players. I get letting UFA's walk when you're a Cup contender, but when you're just in the mix and your prospect pool is shallow you can't let a UFA walk out the door.

Never used here by me. My HS/baseball buddies Text group 14 guys (yes it’s a biggie) it appeared after Florida beat them. Today we are discussing Bell seasoning to make stuffing. Big stuffing debate going on

@Gee Wally your mother used this?

I don't care where he goes. Far away from Boston. 8+ years now of talking about this players potential because he drops the gloves from time-to-time. I give him some credit for standing up for his teammates.

His physicality isn't the issue. He finishes his checks consistently enough. Now most of the time these hits are inconsequential and well after the puck is gone, but he's adequately physical. He was never going to be Milan Lucic like some think he should be.

His issue has always been everything else. His first few strides are awful, always long elongate strides, not quick strides to get up to speed fast. Consistently beaten to loose pucks. Lateral movement, side-to-side agility are also terrible.

He's an OK defensive player but nothing special. His offensive IQ is poor and he's a disaster with the puck on his stick in the offensive zone. No Bruins misses simple easy pass receptions like he does. He's good for 2-3 passes a game that he can't get his stick on that he should. His puck pick-ups are barely NHL caliber. Has a decent wrist shot but never uses it. I don't think he's ever scored a goal off a slapper or one-timer.

If there are teams out there who see value in this soon-to-be UFA Sweeney should be all over it. Instead he'll likely extend him because they think he fits the vision of what they want to do here.

Thank you. 👉💯👈
