Disagree. He’s a third liner. Why do we have to see him play with lesser players to determine if he’s good? The average third line forward is about 21 points. People just can’t seem to get their heads around that.

he's interchangeable bt the 3rd and 4th but he filled his role being on a team with incredible depth.

Frederic is a big strong young C/W that can score. He's adaptable enough to play top 9 minutes.
As far as line mates go, it's a team sport anyone that thinks line mates shouldn't matter doesn't understand hockey.
His contract is not an overpay

its an overpay. look a what Florida payed Nick Cousins and what he actually did last playoff run

Freddy really hasn’t played fourth line in a long while and he won’t this year.

A GM has multiple factors to consider when evaluating a player's pay. To try and simplify it with player x only got this much is not considering all that goes into the decision.

I know. I bet if Lonnie coached the Bs he would bench Frederic when the games mattered most. Can you even imagine?
I had no idea Frederic and Coyle were statistically so good made all the more impressive they were Monty’s number 1 option for a defensive zone Face off

Before I heard Ty podcast and saw Marshys breakdown I figured he was a product of Hall & Coyle

I’ll flip quicker than a politician facing an indictment if I have a reason and this information would have kept and keep them together

no the latest JAG of the week is not better than Hall or carried him on the 3rd line. Somebody should compare their playoff numbers this year
Hall had 2 goals game 4

The assists were
Lauko
Hathaway
Ullmark
Nosek

The top 2 lines game 3 and 4

Bertuzzi - Zacha- Pastrnak
Marchand - Coyle- DeBrusk

Going by 18 + minutes Coyle and 16 z Coyle

Hall was on third line usually with Frederic and Foligno

Hall assisted 2 of Jake Debrusks goals game 4, aren't you a Jake fan?

Hall was incredible game 4. Fred and Fliggy weren't the reason

Hall 8 points 7 games, Fred 0 in 6 games. Hall before being miscast and misused once again was leading the playoff in points mid 1st round.
I’m going by the video - I was at all home games wasn’t Freddie scratched a couple ?

Hall was their best forward in the playoffs - compare his numbers against anyone on the club and they look good.

As for who carried who - he certainly didn't carry TFred in the playoffs and in the regular season Frederic put up better numbers away from him than with him (which is surprising) and Hall did better with Frederic than without him (which isn't surprising).

Here's the info ;)

TFred and his 0 points in the playoffs getting a raise after losing to Florida and being benched isn't a promising sign

How's that support your point that Hall "carried him" on the 3rd line?

And for your new goalposts - we have to notice that in the FLA series they were
3-2 with him and 0-2 without him.

but you have argued Freds inflated stats are the norm and I haven't been pumping the tires of a player with 0 playoff points and found himself on the bench.
Thanks for illustrating the point about shifting the goal posts - now it's norms and inflated stats?

I'm just giving you the numbers from last year. You can like em or dislike em but it won't change em.

Probably a good call editing your original post to remove the part where you joke about Hall not carrying Frederic in the playoffs, considering he spoon fed him 2 golden opportunities in the slot. Not his fault Frederic completely blew those chances

I love the combination of "Hall carried him" and "he didn't put up any pts" argument.

Not sure what the edit was but that joke's still funny to me.

Almost as funny as implying the Bruins lost the series because they had the audacity to sit Trent f***ing Frederic
Well it certainly didn't win em the series did it?

Oh and here's the playoff info about how Hall carried Frederic in the playoffs. . .

Missing from there is their zone starts -
w/Hall it was 68% ozone
wo/Hall it was 0% ozone

shouldn't we becoming Fred with other JAGs who did nothing against Florida? Hall had one of the best performances of any Forward vs Florida during their cup run.
