Why? Dude is a net negative every time he steps on the ice for them. He adds nothing. His fake tough guy routine put the game out of reach because of his 2 minute instigator penalty resulted in another goal for Edmonton.

Makes no sense to do what he did there. Despite the shot totals, you are 1 shot away from tying the game. There's 30 mins. left to play. Your PK is unreliable meanwhile you got McDavid and Draisaitl on the other side. Why risk the instigator right there? Just more of the brain-dead crap he's been pulling all season, costing his team.

I will take it. Could the timing be better. Sure. For a team desperate for emotion and players who play like the actually give a ****. I'll take it. Punk ass emotional Frederic is a better player IMO. A better team kills that penalty, scores on their own PP and takes care of business.

But this isn't a better team. This is a team that can't score on the PP, can't score 5 on 5, and certainly cannot kill penalties. So what Freddy did there was dumb and selfish, and it cost them the game.

I liked his game again tonight. Loved seeing him beat the shit out of Perry. Never like Corey Perry, he wouldn't let Frederic's stick go. Thought the extra 2 minutes was Rooney out to prove he's not a Boston fan once again.
If that was the Freddy that showed up every game everyone would probably be happy. Not sure what is going to happen with him .In my humble opinion, if they cannot sign him he has to go .

I agree. Like I said, it's not perfect timing. I just think more of this in his game is better. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Be the hammer instead of the nail. Edmonton was in full non-engage mode. Thought there was going to be a response after Zadorov took out Skinner. Nothing.

I also thought there was going to be a positive response from the Bruins after the open ice Kastelic hit in the first. Instead, it was more defensive lapses that resulted in the first goal of game....

Again, county club atmosphere. Full of passengers. Identify those who give a ****. Yes, have to be smarter about it, but for Frederic, he's been on the passenger list for most of the season. He's better when he's engaged. Be a punk. Be pissy. More Garnet Hathaway. Less Charlie Coyle. He'll thrive on a good team where he can be something in between. Ask him to be a tough guy on a bad team, he'll fail. Ask him to be a scorer on a bad team, he'll fail.

He has been trending in the right direction the last few games. Definitely looks like he's trying to fight through whatever hangup or injury he may have or is in season shape now and that's a good start.

Team was completely lifeless leading up to that fight, god forbid he try to get the boys going and beat up some rat garbage

Now they were completely lifeless after the fight too but at least he did something cool. If we are gonna suck I would like them to be the bullies

You just keep on giving false and stupid statements. It wasn't Trent's fault that referee gave him extra penalty, Situation was over when referee went between players. Then they both dropped gloves, no instigator there, TFred was one of the best players yesterday.
How is your boy Swayman's season going?
Top 5 goalie, eh?

So he didn't get an extra two for a meaningless fight that he went out and started? That's a false statement? Weird.

My man, it is not worth the effort
I know the feeling. I keep dealing in reality, while you guys keep pumping up a garbage player as if he had value.

That's pretty damn funny.
Bruins are scoring 2.58 goals per game. They were down 1-0 at the time, and his dumb penalty got Edmonton to a 2-0 lead. After that happened, did you feel they were going to come back and win? Or did that goal essentially seal their fate?

What's cool about beating up an old man that isn't a fighter? If anything, it's lame as f***.

A) Perry is a piece of shit
B) they have the same amount of fights this year (3)

We get it though you’re just gonna spin zone everything he does as a negative though, it’s awfully transparent

They scored 0 goals yesterday, if you think that roughing penalty he took trying to inject some life into the team cost them the game then idk what to tell you. They had already given up more than they ended up scoring at that point

That's a fair take and I think I'd be more okay with it if he didn't get the extra two for chasing Perry down the ice and trying to get him to. When the linesman stepped in and he kept pushing, it was a guarantee he was getting the extra time. That annoyed me because of the context of the game, how bad their PK is and how much PP talent Edmonton has. It was low hockey IQ.

Come on man. Saying Perry and Freddy have the same amount of fights is disingenuous. Nobody thinks of Perry as a fighter. So if anything it's a damning statement on Freddy that he and Perry have the same small number of fights. Even worse is that 2 of Freddy's "fights" are against guys like Perry and Gustafsson. Kind of laughable given all the lip service we hear in this thread about how he "fights all the heavies" and then you see him fighting dudes like this instead.

The reality that Perry isn’t a fighter but Frederic somehow is despite both of them having the same amount of fights?
