Very good period.

Cowan was a beast, creating tons of offensive chances.

Hes one of those rare players who are elite skaters with good offensive skills and plays with alot of grit.

That entire line of Hirvonen-Cowan-Tverberg was good.

Knies had a few nice dangles.

Never heard of Tyler Weiss before but thought he had a good first period.

I like the energy Cowan shows. A bit of relentlessness. Seems to be pretty smart. Ellis looking pretty good too but kind of expected that due to his experience. Hildeby looks pretty poised and calm in net. Looks confident.

Ellis looks pretty good as well.

Knies kinda meh but don't think he is going 100% and is trying to just stay healthy

And then Knies assists on the goal as soon as I said that haha

Gruden might have himself a line already on the Marlies if Cowan and Hirvonen join the Marlies late in the season/for playoffs.

Love to see Cowan doing well.

Already so many people that hate the Leafs that said he was a brutal pick... then when he does anything good... they mockingly say how we all think he is the greatest prospect ever.

You can't win as a Leaf fan. Not allowed to be happy about a prospect.

Hopefully more people start to be okay with the Cowan pick lol.

Had to talk a lot of people off the ledge during the draft.
He has certainly met expections that any team would have of a first round pick in a rookie tournament.
