You've got 2 near full roster preseason games left so tinkering is to be expected. But it does appear that Jones-Schneider will start the season- and I'm actually fairly optimistic about what they will be able to do with sheltered minutes.

Goodrow doesn't feel like an intuitive fit for the Zibby line stylistically regardless of his offensive talent, but we shall see.

Hard to not draw inferences from those distinct groups of four though.

Goodrow on the top line is fine for now. The Kid line stays together, Vesey gets a contract. Kravstov glued to Panarin. So then it's slotting Blais/Reaves/Goodrow/Vesey around with one of Hunt/Carpenter/Rhydal/Gauthier.

My money is it's Carpenter and the other guys all get put on waivers.

There will be injuries, waiver wire claims, maybe even project swaps (Gauthier for a D version of him).

This team could actually use Patrick Kane for a playoff run lol.

So we found out that none of Cullye/Edstrom/Othmann are quite ready. That's fine, it's not a disaster. They're actually following the paths of normal prospects pre 2012-13 lockout.
 
Goodrow on the top line RW is fine as are many other guys. That's mostly a complimentary role with Panarin/Trocheck. I'd rather have the balance of a third scoring line than trying to force another skill player there when Panarin/Trocheck will score anyway.

Goodrow is with Mika and Kreider, not bread/Tro

No, it's more important that these last two games are used to prepare the team that will be playing Tampa in game 1. Experimenting time is over. Let's get organized.
 
Zibs line will be bad again at even strength. Maybe Goodrow helps limit chance allowed? even though his numbers were rough last season, historically he's solid at limiting opposing team chances

xG will be weak but Zibs has been extremely opportunistic.

Fully expect the kidline and Panarin line to perform and lead the offense at even strength.

Kreider Zibs Goodrow could be the matchup line I guess?

Disagree, the lines appear set other than 1st line RW and the fourth line. Let’s see what kind of NHL player Lauri is or isn’t?
 
Gallant doesn't subscribe to line numbering. I asked him. (Not in a stalking manner.)
