I know Fischer wasn't looking to hurt someone, but the fact that he's finishing a check like that on a routine puck battle on one of our best players is why Lemieux needs to be available.
I’m not even mad at Fischer. Shit happens like that. He was doing what he needed to do. What infuriates me is the lack of response from this team.

100% agree. That's the type of play where Fischer knows even if he didn't intend it that he would normally have to stand and face the music, but nothing.

For all the doom and gloom, let's not forget that it's preseason and we've hit four posts.

On the flip side, we lost Byfield and there was very little response. That we should be pissed about.

At some point it stops being bad luck and it's just lack of talent.

I haven't been able to watch the game tonight, traveling to Kentucky from LAX. But I get the feeling that by the end of this season, I'm going to have a lot more passengers on the fire T Mac train. But the real question will be, is it him, or is the problem really the Aging core? Then again, I could be wrong about all of this and they'll have a great season. But my gut is definitely telling me to be ready for a long year.

You know I think TMac sucks, but I also think my body is ready for Brown and probably even Kopitar to be off the roster. I also think the d as a whole is way too one dimensional.

Okay so new plan regarding lines:

Kempe - Danault - Iafallo
Andersson - Vilardi - Tkachev
Arvidsson - Byfield (take my leg ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ ) - Moore
Lemieux - Kopitar - Brown

Yes indeed, we haven't even gotten to game 1 yet and its time to fire the coach.

Also, for what it's worth, that 60th pick for Andersson looks better and better each day. Even if he tops out as a middle-six guy, I really like his tenacity. Not afraid to get dirty. Seems like he would've had something to say about the Byfield injury.

It's not his 1st season as coach either. What's the difference between wanting him fired after a full season last year, and wanting him fired before the season start this year? My opinion hasn't changed.

Andersson is like Matt Greene in the sense he’ll step up and just hug and take down. Still better than the guy with the C on his jersey.

not even just the lack of response but the near immediate goal against

That was the concern last year, the inability to persevere. Caving in on themselves for extended periods of time.

That is 100% on the leadership group. Just not enough to be a role model, you have to lead from the front.
