We’ve known that. I honestly don’t understand how these guys like Blake and Emerson who played in the league when it was nuts think this team is adequate enough in the toughness department.

Wagner should start the year in the Penalty box the whole game even if we don't have a penalty. He is more valuable in the box.

I can't believe I'm sitting here watching my first game of the preseason already doubting the collective commitment of the team to each other. That could just be the sour taste in my mouth after watching Byfield go down with the game he had been having.

That unit doesn't have any chemistry, so it really doesn't matter who the net-front guy is. They just started playing together but if they don't get some synergy going things need to be moved around. Personally I'd rather see Iafallo in that spot, he's always played well with Kopitar and kept pucks alive.

As for Kaliyev, I'd be satisfied to see him play well enough to earn a spot on the roster. So far he's done great at the AHL level but not much in camps. I don't expect him to be a play driver, but he needs to bring that energy like Toffoli did if he's going to be a sniper.

Kaliyev is a very underrated passer/playmaker. Had G/A: 51/51 and 44/54 in junior, and 14/17 with Reign. He is an excellent passer.

100% agree it will be noticeable very quickly. Not sure who to get because the game no longer has guys lying around like it use to.

I know Fischer wasn't looking to hurt someone, but the fact that he's finishing a check like that on a routine puck battle on one of our best players is why Lemieux needs to be available.

Kings put a lot of effort into trying to score fancy shit. Meanwhile Coyotes just clean up loose pucks and are in the lead. This team is going to be a top 10 pick again.

A pretty crushing game so far, came out guns blazing with the lead and hitting 4 posts, but a few bad bounces, Byfield getting injured, and being down two goals in the 3rd against this gang of misfit toys waiting out the rest of their careers to nowhere. Pretty demoralizing. Hopefully, they can show some spirit and answer here. Time to show your guts.
