Is there a roster for tonight?
if you kept reading, you would have seen that the coaching staff has them on different lines and sides.I believe I read somewhere that team had replaced the coaching staff. Not surprising that many variations are being evaluated.
My point was the team almost made the playoffs with not only the adversity having to do with their players, which you mentioned, but also with a poor coach. And I see this year as a team that is playoffs or bust considering the continued maturation of the youth, better depth (which yes I think can be blamed on upper management as opposed to Quinn), and a better, more established Coach. I never expected last year’s team to make the playoffs. I expected, as previously stated in this thread and past threads, that last year’s team would be a bubble team. I expected positive steps in development, and quite frankly I just did not see it with Kakko and Lafreniere being prime disappointments. Its great to be defensively responsible, but not at the complete sacrifice of their natural offensive talent that also needs to develop and prove itself at this level. Quinn was allergic to putting Lafreniere on the PP1. It was one of his many disasters in terms of personnel management.
I am not sure where I said it was any one player that was the issue with effort. In fact it has been a constant from me that it was a TEAM issue. As I already said, it didn’t matter if it was rookies or veterans, collectively as a group they did not show up ready to play. That is a reflection of the Coach. I am not sure why you can’t or refuse to comprehend this very straight forward point being made. When the whole TEAM looks like the walkind dead, that is the Coach not getting his team to buy in, getting the most out of what he has to work with.
The proof is in watching the player. I wasn’t against the kreider signing at the time, because he did things that weren’t usually seen on the scoreboard. He was an important piece. That wasn’t the case last season. If you think that was his normal streaky self, I don’t know what to tell you but your wrong. That is some proof. And you’ve been a complete douche bag for the better part of 2 years on this site. So before your hurl insults and call people cry babies look in the mirror dickhead
Well, we’re gonna have a lot of re-inventing to do. Do we have one vet anyone would label “relentless”?
We may have made the wrong decision. I know they said Gallant isn’t an X’s and O’s Guy but that was something else. They looked like they had no system at all, were lazy, and didn’t show up to start the game. Maybe we should have went for Hartley or Tocchett.
Problem is when one of the "Leaders" on the team doesn't show up and plays lazy, others, especially kids will follow suit.We may have made the wrong decision. There’s a difference between usual point production and overall impact of play on the ice, which you refuse to acknowledge or just plain don’t see. And as far as slinging insults, you opened this clam my friend. I’m not the only one who notices your pompous condescending posts that offer little to no insight. You must be the only Rangers fan who is unaware that Kreider has been inconsistent from Day 1 of his career.
As to your other briilliant words, that's par for the course for you. Can't back up opinions, grow frustrated, throw a temper tantrum.
You sure showed me.
There’s going to be an adjustment period. Guys are going to have to find some chemistry and their overall niches on the team. I give it 20-25 games before any kind of serious evaluation. We may have made the wrong decision. I know they said Gallant isn’t an X’s and O’s Guy but that was something else. Another great post, wow you really showed us. You can tell by all the responses everyone loves the feed back you provide... clown shoesGallant can't get his players to play hard enough.
He's lost the room.
I know this to be true because what else could it be?
Would prefer Kreider in the 3rd line TBH.
Chytil, who turned 22 on Sept. 5, is in his fifth Rangers training camp. He’s yet to define himself — power center or skilled center; scorer or dispatcher? — as the Czech seeks to carve out a defined, significant role.
Gallant said that Chytil reminds him somewhat of a young Lars Eller, whom the coach had in Montreal while serving as an assistant coach for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 Canadiens.
“He was a guy who had good skill and good talent, and Lars turned himself into a real good two-way hockey player. I see some of that in [Chytil] as a young player,” Gallant said. “Does he maybe have a little more skill than Eller, I think he does right now, but Eller turned himself into a real good hockey player in Washington, won a Stanley Cup and played a big part in that.
“So I hope he turns into a good defensive player like Eller, but I think he’s got a little more upside.”
I give it 20-25 games before any kind of serious evaluation yet.
