They don't actually have to send anyone down right now (other than the guys already on waivers). It wouldn't even make a difference to capspace.

can you elaborate a bit on this? There isn't really an incumbent to beat out, since Bogosian is gone now. I haven't seen anything about Sandin's play that would indicate he doesn't deserve to be in the mix for the open spot and in the lead for it

Another team that spent all their money on DEPTH

MTL is known for being bad at center and lost danult + KK. They are pretty deep at the wings so they won't be able to play Brooks at winger.

They added Dvorak but really they could use a better 3C with Suzuki and Dvorak in the top 6

Brooks has a clean chance to prove he's a top 9 and 3C level player. Up to him to deliver and not flounder the chance

His competition is Jake Evans and Ryan Poehling both who should be better than

It's now or never for Brooks with MTL.

Meh I think both have outplayed Dermott this pre season. Sandin more so offensively. Could be that Keefe likes the PK ability Liljegren offers. I'm not sure he wants to use Rielly on the PK.

Guess we'll be seeing Brooks soon (and possibly often). This claim should provide a good opportunity for him.

Id like to see them swapping them out on back to backs especially. Our last two post seasons have seen us take injuries to the defence. We need to be better prepared this time.
