And with that the great "Othmann to NHL?" debate was concluded. I mean, not technically but yeah after Kravtsov's camp injury stuff I can see where the FO will wanna go with this.

Aaaand we're off to a great start here folks

I'm not the brightest guy but I do not see a connection between Oth and Krav. Guys get injured in camp. Doesn't mean they will not have a chance at a good career.

Hard to really understand this read fully with the translation.

Hes talking about a lot of different things and just seems to be complaining the entire time.

Hopefully Lavy has learned from a tough season with the Caps and/or maybe this group will respond better to his system than the Caps. Seems like a lot of players had a hard time buying in from the start.

Every roster is different. Even if the system is perfectly suited to the roster things could have trouble gelling, for whatever reason. Well see if the Rangers sink or swim soon enough

I know Panarin's play this past summer was frustrating but I think that, as a fanbase, we are overreacting how bad he is in the post-season. He played really well under Quenneville and Tortorella in Chicago and Columbus, being a P/GP player and carrying those teams.

It's the post-season last summer with the lower back injury and this summer where the entire team looked lost, where he left a lot to be desired. But I am convinced a structured gameplan (Which Laviolette brings) brings back the Panarin we saw in Chicago and Columbus in the post-season.
Panarin has aged out of being that player. That player is coming back the same way Chicago Kane is coming back.

I wasn't commenting on Othmann's future beyond the start of this season. There has been some debate whether he would start in the NHL or AHL this season and I think getting hurt makes his already slim chances slimmer. I brought up Kravy because he had injury issues in two different camps and most recently never really got going because of it, despite being kept on the NHL roster.

and that's why you must have 3 good Centers.

Have a feeling we are going to be talking about the Rammer Curse alll season.

it may have already begun

Hopefully im wrong.
It's not a Ramsey curse.

It's just a natural thing if you practice/train harder and push it to the limits, the risk of injury does go up. But it's necessary to win.

Derek Stepan made the team without pro experience and he was a center a harder position especially at the NHL level . If Othmann earns it, why can't he make the roster.
A little late here, but I don't think anybody is saying he can't make the team with an impressive camp, earning the right to take a top 9 spot. I think it's more about penciling him on the 3rd line over a player like Vesey and already calling it "better depth",

Okay I understand your train of thought better. I still would not link the 2 players though since Kravy had issues other than his injury with multiple teams.
