I don't like Goodrow in the top 9.

You can accomplish what you're trying to accomplish with him in that role and do it even better with Vesey in that spot.

I know things will change, but immediately throwing Goodrow into the t9 is bugging me.

I don’t like Goodrow in the Top 9 either.

I know there's a lot of negativity with Trocheck being the puck carrier, but he's one of the few players on the team that actually attacks the defenders, despite the turnovers. He pushes the defenders back, where as many just go wide and get rubbed off on the boards. At long as Trocheck is going forward, I'm ok with a turnover here and there when he's attacking the defenders.

True. Although, I'm hoping, no, counting on Kakko to become that force who intimidates opposing forwards and defenders and makes them fall back when he's got the puck.

He's impressive, I have to say, with his understanding of the game. You can say dinosaur this or that but I think he, and his young(ish) group of AC's, are going to bring a new identity to this team and he was probably the perfect hire at this stage. Looking forward to it for sure.

Hopefully we make a bunch of cuts quickly. There are a whole lot of guys there now that are just kind of taking up space, and it feels like it diminishes what should be a genuine opportunity for kids like Cuylle and Othmann to get some time with the big boys.

The more i hear Lavy speak, the more obvious it becomes how we have lacked a coach for a long time.

My expectations for this team keep rising. We have the talent, now we have a coach, its up to the players to work their ass off now.

Still think Laf and Kakko are breaking 60 pts this year. Chytil will also be right there, especially if he plays with Panarin.

I've been thinking the exact same thing the more I hear Peter, I'm excited for the team - especially the kids, to receive direction and correction. (goes for the team as well)

Laviolette mentioned the other day that he's found there's players wanting more info/data on how to play, that it's new to them. I couldn't help but think it was collection of youngsters - either way, drop the puck on the season!

I'm not really bothered by that because I don't think Kakko and Panarin mix well. I think we've seen plenty of evidence of that. Kakko should be on that top line, and I expect him to end up there eventually.

Laf should be there. Kakko should be in the top 6.

If Laf and Kakko both are not in the top six there's an issue.

Goodrow doesn't belong above the 4th line. There's more talented players available.
