Perhaps it's a similar dynamic to Kassian...you come in on what's possibly your last shot at redemption, and you distance yourself from your mistakes as much as possible to make the most of your last chance.

Only one of the Oilers' preseason games will be viewable on TV in Edmonton. Only 3 are even broadcasted by a network (2 by TSN with Winnipeg regional blackout including tomorrow's game).

I imagine a few will be on Oilers TV, but it just seems like a bizarre choice.

SN has, in addition to their regional channels, 1, 360, world, and all of the team-specific channels. Like what is the point of having the SN Oilers channel???

If we're talking "classic" Oilers grind / energy / checking lines, I'd also take the MGM line (Marchant, Grier, Murray) or RPM line (Reasoner, Pisani, Moreau).

Most teams are obviously built differently these days, but I kind of miss having those kind of lines. On the other hand, it's pretty alright having two Hart calibre centres instead
