Pretty sure its all 3 to the Oilers for McDavid……Oh Surix'...
You're spoiling the fun...
1) Clear huge amounts of Cap...
2) Give value to a piece that has been beaten out in camp, but still has "potential"... unproven...
3) Move a player whose agent (and most likely him having duplicity) floated his eventual destination... when he has max value with 2 years left....
For a quality Centre from another team... or a package of picks and a young Centre with upside...
Fun to speculate...
Any idea if it is actually a youtube link so I can stream it on my tv?
I was able to use airdrop to cast to my Samsung Tv for one of the other games I believe it was a Calgary game earlier.Nope, strictly NHL.com. They might be allowed to upload the full game to youtube after though.
There might be a way to watch via VLC and cast to a chromecast/Roku TV though. Depends on whether the stream has any DRM.
Well they better hurry up. Neither has flat out pushed Stanley down yet.Stanley getting that #6 job would be the case of the one-eyed man being king in the land of the blind. Based on Murat's reporting the #6 job has genuinely been wide open. Let's hope one of Heinola/Samberg can impress in the remaining 2 preseason games.
Me trying to figure out how pionk playing on an injured foot in February was Maurice's fault when he left in NovemberWe'll see about Pionk this year, not going to excuse his full year last year but he did get concussed from Spezza and then he admitted today?(I think) something we all knew, that he injured his foot blocking a shot in February and it took weeks into the offseason before it was healed. Maurice's fault for continuing to play him but I wouldn't lump him in with Stanley, yet
Is he? I'd expect when the pairings are sorted out that Morrisey-De Melo line up the most behind Scheifele's line. Dillon and Pionk will probably be put behind Lowry's line, and that leaves Stanley-Schmidt to play a lot behind Dubois's line, and Dubois will take mostly offensive zone, neutral zone draws. I think Dillon-Pionk are going to again be the shutdown pairing, which puts Stanley in an advantageous situation. He's going to be asked to kill penalties, because I don't think Morrissey will get more than spot duty, as the offensive catalyst for the team. That's really the only shutdown he needs to work on.The problem though is Stanley is yet another offensive dmen being miscast as a shut down guy.
His defensive game has never been very good. We are now going on 7 years of them trying to develop that area of his game. How much longer do you give to this experiment.

It's a knee jeek thing around here to blame pomo for everything lol.
Correct, Lowry's fault. Knowing a guy is injured and continuing to play him while he kills your team. I was just so used to Maurice doing it with other players, force of habit
It's really funny that Stanley can make the same mistake as Heinola but Stan gets bashed and Ville gets a pass.Well they better hurry up. Neither has flat out pushed Stanley down yet.

I do get the whole talent level thing that both players performing equally you should go with the more talented player with more potential, but it is so important for the Jets to be successful this year, so I think the org is going to ice the lineup they think will give them that chance.
I also think that though Stanley started very rough, he's gotten markedly better every game.
I also think Heinola has performed very well this tc which is exciting. You do see him bottle up and get timid with the puck and his decision making, especially after a mistake. That's all confidence, and the only way to address that is with playing time. The good news is, Bowness has not seemed to have punished players for mistakes so far.
Snerg I think has been fine, but I think he's playing it very safe, which is a gamble in of itself. You don't necessarily hurt yourself, but you also don't really stand out.
It's a very interesting battle, for sure. These next 2 games are going to be huge because I don't think the org. Is convinced of any plan yet.
I am guessing NHL owns the rights to the content?I don't understand the issue with also streaming the game on the OFFICIAL Jets YouTube channel.

Well the the OFFICIAL NHL youtube channel or making available on the NHL ap . Unless maybe it is? I have the NHL app for Apple TV. Or do we have to access NHL.com via web browser?
Issue is the NHL app doesn't work in Canada anymore, its been switched to Sportsnet Now App.....which is direct competition for TSN....so they won't give them any right to stream it.
The NHL is soooooo far behind in its streaming contracts.....they would be so much better to have an NHL app that streams every game regardless of blackouts, charge an extra $20 a month for local games.
Instead if I want to watch games, I need to have the Sportsnet Now Premium App and the TSN app....double the cost.
Agreed but imo the team is largely set in the top 9 and the only spot really open is the LW slot next to Lowry so they are trying to give Barron his opportunity in that role. My guess is they hope he claims it.
Perfetti has his slot in the top 6 and this game is really just to continue getting him up to speed. I'd prefer to see him in the middle though as I liked what he and Lambert did the one game they played together in rookie camp.
At this point I think Bead is on the outside looking in. He would likely have been given a fourth line look if he was still in the mix.
Stanley could win the Norris and there will still be those who consider him a wasted first round pick. It's really funny that Stanley can make the same mistake as Heinola but Stan gets bashed and Ville gets a pass.
