Do not like these changes for Rupp and Stralman. Annoying numbers now for both. Just doesn't fit for me.

Much less annoying than Fedotenko taking Christensen's 26 while he was still on the team, though.

Amazingly, appears NHL 13 had the scoop on this cause I noticed yesterday both numbers had changed and wondered the reason behind it.

Oh my gosh, you have no idea how many times I was surprised to see Christensen making himself useful only to realize it was Fedotenko.

Cannot wait to see Nash playing for us. it will be interesting to see how he does with more talented linemates. He just looks like a pure playmaker, some unafraid to take the puck to the net. I also hope he brings life to the NYR 'flowerplay'.

Can cross huselius off the list of potential camp invites

@steffeG: Huselius retires due to injury. Always a treat to watch. RT @emil_karlsson: FLASH: Kristian Huselius tvingas lägga av med ishockey pga skada

Must be a pretty bad injury for him to be retiring.

Well he is off the list. How about Winchester or Dvorak! I still want them to bring in another d-man.

agreed they need another Dman for the playoffs but I imagine they wait till the deadline. They brought Bickel and Eminger back so they will get a crack at the 6th spot and the other spares. Plus Gilroy likely gets a look.

I do see the point of bringing in a vet who can spare and fill in on the 3rd/4th lines. Dvorak is still fast and can PK, he has played in NY so he would be a pretty nice fit if he comes cheap.

I believe Langkow, Arnott, and Dom Moore are all free agents.

Question on the PP Units. Richards was playing the point but the teams depth at C is gone with Dubi and AA in CLB. Not complaining since Nash and Gaborik are going to be ridiculous on the 1st PP unit together but does that not mean Richards NEEDS to play C on the PP? Stepan can centre the 2nd unit but after that I will cry if Torts uses Boyle

So what are your PP lines?

Nash, Richards, Gaborik.......Del Zotto, Stralman
Kreider, Stepan, Callahan......whoever out of McD or Staal and Girardi

Hagelin could play the PP but I would like to see him on the PK unit with Boyle and then the other with Halpern and Callahan

richards can take the faceoff and then drop back to the point

1st:
Nash-Richards-Pyatt
MDZ-Gaborik

After the face-off

Nash on the half-boards
Pyatt in front of the goalie
Gaborik in the high slot/below the goal line

2nd:
Hagelin-Stepan-Callahan
Kreider-Stralman

After the face-off

Hagelin on the half-boards
Kreider/Callahan in front of the net
Kreider/Callahan in the slot/below the goal line

Ugh these names make me wanna yak... some of you guys need to acquaint yourself with the expression "that ship has sailed".

NOT INTERESTED..

Especially not interested in POS Dominic Moore. There are few players in the league I hate more than him.

And Kovalev? Really? What possesses someone to seriously suggest him for a team poised to make a run? I'm waiting for someone to start a "Petr Nedved??" thread.

If he had not signed Halpern, I recon one of those centers wouldn't have hurt.

Anyway, I still have the same opinion on this as I had on spare playes back in the summer. We have no hole in the lineup as it is. If we sign someone to marginally replace a weak position for us, we get some backup.

But, while we may have weak spots now, its definitely possible that we have a big black hole at one position come dead-line, if you get what I mean. Let's say every player has a tremendous year and everything works for us, and then Staal gets a concussion and MDZ breaks a leg -- we could still contend with a decent LD pickup. You know the soon to be UFA vet type. So I definitely rather keep whatever space we have now, untill the seasons start. As long as possible, if possible.

I mean, heck, lets say we look like a true contender but then Hank goes down. Why couldn't we get like Nabokov or Khabby and still go for it? It would be worth a 2nd roundeer for sure. If we fill up the roster right now, we have no mobility for changes down the road.

We have also made alot of changes, and you never quite know how things will work out. I've seen things work out alot worse than expected in NY before.

My point is just, no sense in making moves now if we can wait a couple of month's. Its practically impossible to tell today what type of backup would be most optimal right before the PO's.

Why have Pyatt on the top PP unit over Cally?

i hate his guts, probably more than any player in the league but dom moore is probably the best unsigned forward.

thoughts on eric fehr? only 27. kind of a bust so far but maybe torts can get something out of him

Big guy, can play both wings and he probably would have put up 30+ points in his last year with the caps (had 10g 10a in 52 games), but looked terrible last season when he wasn't hurt (only played 35 games).

Don't this he's ever played a full season either. Lots of injury issues.

Dominic Moore's wife has liver cancer... what ever you "feel" about him as a hockey player, he's a human being with a family.

I don't mind signign a vet that will be happy as the 13th F and then can come in incase of injury.

Haley could do this but it also takes a body away from CT. I doubt they want Kolarik , Hrivk just sitting around as a spare. The team has 12 F assuming Kreider is one of them
