And there's a good reason to think that there should've been something done already; if it happens again in a few weeks' time, then something has to change, right? So NMC be damned.
As mentioned above, if the change is necessary (it may be already), then nothing should be off the board irrespective of who's feelings it may hurt. My guess is that even being asked is likely an indication that the team does not want him, and in most cases, the player leaves.
