This team is so soft w/o Nuke and Landry if they don’t finally resolve Landry this off season they should can both Sakic and CMac
The Landry situation has become a complete joke. One player holding the organization hostage with his desperate comeback attempt. Enough is enough.

Maybe I'm wrong and Landry makes some epic return, but if he really won't be able to do much with the comeback it shows terrible leadership from they guy.

That shit is like last on a long list of crap lol.

Landeskog isn't coming back if he can only hobble around at half speed.

My team, the Tennessee Titans, are considering dumping Harold Landry as he could still return an asset and probably doesn’t want to stick around for a full rebuild.

Time will tell.

Esa Tikkanen once called Landry 'Skrogen'. He also called Mack 'MackGrimmondi'.
Esa has legit got to be one of the cooler players to ever lace them up. I've only heard great stories about the guy.

Unfortunately, his time with the Oilers was coming to an end in the 90s when I was just getting into hockey and he went into journeyman mode hard core. Between 92 and 99 he played for the Oilers, Rangers, Blues, Devils, Canucks, Rangers (again), Florida, Washington and finally the Rangers one last time.

I honestly think he was trying to get a jersey from every team in the league before he retired.

Nichushkin has 1 more point than Joel Kiviranta does this year.

Availability matters.

Healthy and clean Nuke is indeed a unicorn, meaning it doesn’t f***ing exist.

Can't blame any players for injuries mate. When available, they are warriors. From memory, Nuke had to be carried out of the stadium on a coat rack one legendary night.

To everyone else. In regard to our captain - he has earned the right to return to his love and passion any time he chooses. For anyone to say that's holding us hostage given LTIR rules, is sadly mistaken.

I’m not blaming him for getting hurt, but a GM has to take into account when a player is injury prone.

Nichushkin is injury prone.

There’s nothing mean or insensitive about that.

Happens with the style of game he plays. Plays balls to the wall, and that's what makes him so elite for us. I'm definitely not calling you insensitive btw bud. I think having Manson play D may help him, because him and G, would be playing more with Lehks, Mitts and Nuke. Might steer the starchy plays away from him a bit.

Nuke missed the last 2 playoff runs + got suspended twice last season + missed nearly 40 games this year (so far)....and now he could have a chronic groin injury. That's just irresponsible to rely on this guy.

The only reason we don't talk about it as much as we should is because Landeskog exists.

Honestly, the situation with Nuke is better than the one with Landy. As the real leader and captain of the AVS, he should release his contract and come back when he's fit enough. At least after this season if he can't play. Enough is enough.

Nuke will be fine. Maybe even fit enough for the playoffs. Not ideal either, but what can you do.

If Landeskog can't return this season, I don't think he ever will and he'll probably let the Avs know.

He's a smart man, he knows almost 3.5 years of no NHL hockey is impossible to come back from.

The only thing Landy hinders is the captaincy. His contract is not an anchor, they use his money.

Lmao what an utterly ridiculous thing to suggest.

First of all:
That man sacrificed his career to win a cup, not only for himself. Thats what i call "captain". Talking about "terrible leadership"......

He went out to get a very complicated operation and a chance to come back. He tried, he worked, but unfortunately it didnt work out the way everyone, including himself, had hoped for.

I respect the hell out of this man. Just for the records.

I think at this point its safe to say that Landeskog will walk right into LTIR. There will be no "Kucherov" if we make the playoffs. And i hope he can live his life without any further complications regarding his knee. There are still more importante things in life than hockey.

It wont hurt us either because his cap hit will be gone.

But (!!), and thats where we are on the same page, this franchise needs clarity on this situation. This cant go on any longer. This upcoming off season will be huge for us because right now, this team is a hot mess.
