Agreed. A bit surprised Seattle is considering it. I could see why too... but I think there is more cons then pros.

As good as price was in the playoffs this would really let Habs off the hook of a massive contract.

I prefer he stays in Montreal. I think that may be the best he'll ever play again this past playoffs.

Well, they wouldn't have 4 forwards making half of the cap, lol...Price would immediately make the Kraken a playoff contender.

Hakanpaa is exactly what this team needs on the blueline. I really hope Toronto picks him up in free agency
Exactly the type of sucka we NEED HARD sire. That guy gangsta, still thuggin, hitting suckas and punishing fools in front. Still winning, what!!

Hope KD targets Ullmark after the ED - would be comfortable with a 1A/1B split with Campbell.

I doubt Dubas can win a bidding war on any UFA. I think Andy has a good chance of returning which is not the worse case (unless you belong to the anti Andy club).

There's a decent amount of pretty good goaltenders to sign to fit that role. I think Ullmark is definitely up there in my favourites as well.

Raanta, Mrazek, Halak, Rittich and Andersen ( ) are also among the ones I'd look at.

Might help Leafs with Hyman... although if Edmonton has interest he'll probably get 8 x 8.

That is 2x his salary. What happened to COVID discounts in a flat cap world ?? It might reduce Hyman's AAV but I can't see it reduced enough to fit Hyman in, especially now with $3/3.5m going to McCann/Kerfoot.

Oh he can win it - he'll just end up bidding 50% over market to close the deal(s)

Philadelphia is one of those teams

What am I missing with swapping Vorachek for Tarasenko? Sure T is younger and more skilled, but those injuries are yikes... I guess the 1 year less on his deal is also a selling point? Just seems like Voracek is getting massacred by fans but he's put up very decent offense, including 43 in 53 last year

Habs will be adding while we will be subtracting. Which team won't make the playoffs next year? Guess that depends on whether Florida is for real or not. I am betting they are.
If they don’t have Price, I don’t see them being any good.
Would be funny if they sign Andersen and he ends up beating the Leafs in playoffs.

No probably not. I was just joking mostly. I like Hyman but it's crazy if it's true he's getting anywhere around 6 million.

Nah Allen is legit, but it's the loss of Weber that would really hurt them. But Biceps-Bergy is pretty good with trades and I expect them to try for Jones to replace Weber. I think they'll be pretty legit.

With the Rangers committing around 3.6M x 6 for Goodrow and some money to spend on young guys (Kakko, Lafrenierre, Chytill, Zibby) down the line, I would see if we can pluck Buchnevich at a reasonable price.

Maybe we get him at a lower than usual offer(not so sure about that) problem becomes he's a player who has produced at 55 pt and 73 point paces the psst two years and will be looking for a Nylander type contract

Don't see how we can give him 6.5-7M on a long term deal.

Not confident he takes another bridge

Maybe we can get him to go for 5M x3-4 years with front loading/signing bonuses?

Hope so, he'd be a very good add and is a guy who can make sure nylander/marner don't get complacent on the PP challenging them for time on whatever top unit we go with

I'd pay Amirov + for him if he signed 4 years by 5M

The more I play around with capfriendly the more I'm finding we can fix our teams offense pretty easily if we move my favourite player in Rielly.

Really tough decision on Mo, but if we can trade Mo for a 10-20 1st + ELC player and then use the 5M to get Gologoski at 3.5ish we have 1.5M extra to fit in a really good 5th forward like buchnevich

I don't see how Hyman could be asking for $2 million over Goodrow on a long term deal...it's ridiculous with all that Hyman hype.
