if he's able to adapt at C, dont have any problem to see him here. Anything that could help the team is a good thing.

If its just to make the team worst, i dont see the interest of keep doing it... but will need some game to really see what it could like
How long would you give him

Not sure you are getting your point across clearly here?

Why would they want to make the team worse?

If he move on center and hes becoming a worst version of him, i don't know how thst can help the team still keeping at C unstead of coming back on wing...

Wonder if Yzerman thought scoring less but winning more was becoming "worst"?
i never talked about scoring less or whatever.

Exemple if hes playing like he did in 1st pre-season gm on gm 15... that will not help the team and he still finished with 1 goal and 1 assist...

If he can become as c a better version of himself, yeah that will just be great

It is possible he is never as good a center as winger, but that could be better for the team.

For example say a player won the Norris but then switched to center due to need, and the team ended up winning 4 Cups with that center?

He thrives on the Olympic size ice at centre……

If that's help to win but if got nylander at 75-85% at c and still using it for the only reason you having nobody to put there... for me that should not be a reason to keep nylander there.

If he still at C, it should be because thats making the leafs a better team, nothing else

I think by definition a winger who can transition to a center is going to be stronger as a player.

Red Kelly might be a different story because a stud defenseman and stud center might be more on par in terms of overall value to team construction.

One goal and one assist per game over 82 games in a season would put him ahead of everyone except Gretzky and Lemieux for points and everyone but Gretzky, Hull, and Lemieux for goals.

I think that might help the team. :sarcasm:

If he's better than anyone else we have at 2C and helps us win more, does it matter if he only puts up 85 points instead of 95?

Its funny this actually did happen. Red Kelly won 4 Norris trophies as a Red Wing and when acquired by the Leafs converted to a centre
I think he was well aware of that.

Up until Bryan Trottier in 1992, Lorne was the only player to win more than five Cups without ever playing for Montreal (and still the only one with more than six).

The Kings also lost Doughty long-term to a what looks like a broken ankle or something along those lines. They might just be in the market for something.

Or just a slightly used Conor Timmins. They are also looking at depth options at forward.
I’d be happier losing Lilly and taking the greater return than losing Timmins for whatever scraps he’d return, but I guess said scraps are better than nothing if he’s claimed on waivers…….

Robertson + Timmins
For
Kaliyev + 2nd

Kaliyev starts on LTIR , gives some wiggle room and Arthur can rehab correctly. He’ll be a threat when healthy on PP2,pick can be utilized at the deadline.

Robertson won’t make this team, neither will Timmins.

I think he's already made it.
