We’ve become a laughing stock, losing in the 1st round annually will do that.

I’m convinced we don’t have the allure to sign players like we did even 5 years ago, we have to pay a premium to attract players, bundled up with our core sucking every last penny. Not exactly a recipe for success.

Dallas has no RD under contract or in the system. One of Lindell/Heiskanen probably moves to the right. They still have a big hole and aren't linked to anyone in UFA. Possible Liljegren destination.

i think you're special. If you need 6 years to make the contract 4 million he is overpaid you dimwit.

You can move OEL thats the silver lining you're going to look at. God what a stupid take. maybe go out and save cap space or get legit guys. but nah. Lets move guys when they dont work itll be fine. Just like marleau right?

Special special take there bud.
Over paid? he's 34 and still one of the best defenseman in the league... $5M for one of the best defenseman in the league is overpaid to you? the reason it's 6 years smart ass is so his cap isn't $6M-$7M where it should be if not higher. In what world is Rielly worth $7.5M but Tanev is overpaid at $4M-$5M.... You people are hilarious.

No the silver lining is yes you can move his contract and he's still a good defenseman who is arguably better then pretty much anyone we had last year. You think the Leaf's are the only one's after him? They can get rid of the contract and get a pick for it when they decide they want to move on. It's not the end of the world stop crying.

The thing with Tanev as well, is what are the chances it doesn't go the way of Hainsey (age with a dramatic decline in play) or Muzzin (chronic injury due to style/longevity).
