Tanev, you basically knew it was going to happen. So I've accepted that one but potentially being priced out on Zadarov, Roy because you gave OEL/Lily a combine 7m is well.

which is why the cap as it is - is a joke.
I remember when "it wasn't fair to overpay because teams like Tampa and Florida can't compete because they aren't making much money." now they have rich owners, and a hard salary cap which they fought for and now they can go "loo laa loo, we can comply but we can always get people to come to us because we can pay less but they earn more because of no state tax."


and the league's refusal to let teams have some sort luxury tax or something to compensate is an unfair advantage. Canada can't help that our dollar sucks, and eastern teams can't help that they have large state tax. the league should make adjustments so the whole "everyone needs the same advantage." is actually accurate.

There's actual research papers written on the true cap space of each team. The non-tax states have a higher cap than the rest of the league.

Only people who choose to remain ignorant about this cry when Florida or Tampa signs their stars for 9 mil instead of 11. I've stopped caring because it just is what it is.

OEL maybe signing shortly doesn’t make what you said yesterday correct. Both things I called out as not true were 100% not true at the time you wrote them.
