Would be nice to salvage some value

Sure there's interest in Hyman, but I don't think there's any team paying him over $5 million...Ryan Nugent-Hopkins barely got over $5 million...I'd say Hyman would be lucky to get $4.5 million per.

Because of the whole Landeskog thing, I decided to try my hand

Assume Rielly is willing to sign an extension with the Kings in this scenario

Criticisms;

I like Gaudreau, his metrics are really good but 3C is a big ask.

Sandin is probably viewed as ready...I decided to give him more seasoning, some people will think I am nuts.

Anyways fire away :)

Zach Hyman will not be worth his contract. I appreciate what he did for us but he's a product of Toronto. I don't think he can replicate on another team.

He's gonna turn into a very expensive bottom 6 player for whoever decides to get him

He said Leafs, Avs and possibly Seattle want him. I've been talking about Kuemper for over a year - he's got ridiculously good advanced stats, second only to Helle going into this past season.

They probably want to move him before expansion so they can protect Hill.

At this point Dreger is nothing but a mouthpiece for agents to drum up business for their clients. He never breaks anything anymore but relies on agents to make himself look relevant.

The only true insider is Bob Mac all others are just not good. Guys like Friendman says he hears things but it is really just his point of view. CJ might be the closest thing to Bobby Mac.

Dreger just spews things to stay relevant. He hasn't had any connections since Nonis left and league-wide he doesn't really have connections with anybody.

Most insiders get worked by agents to help the agents clients
How does this help 'their clients'?

How can Canucks afford Hyman? According to cap friendly they only have 15 mill cap space and still have to sign Pettersson and Hughes.

maybe JT Miller could be available ?

Have you seen the movie Draft Day.
Owners want to make a splash. Agents leaking infos to these insiders will increase their clients value bc owners would think signing these players would make a splash
NHL Owners are listening to Dreger? I would think an owner looking to make a splash would just ask his GM who they could sign.

Mirtle and Siegal mentioned the same thing on the latest Leaf report.

However, only makes sense for the Leafs if we acquire him after expansion, and Coyotes may look to move him before the roster freeze and list submission on Saturday

He's VERY intriguing, especially with his underlying numbers.

My only concern is tandem durability with both him and Campbell having health is sues in the past. Would need to try and have a good #3 on hand in case one goes down

Injuries are the only question. When healthy he's really good. The cap hit is also 4.5 so only way this works is if Arizona retains close to or at 50%.

As much as teams say they don't follow social media or insiders they all know what they say. If say DET was interested in Hyman and Dreger puts out Leafs are open to trading him before he hits UFA it might have been leaked by the agent before Dubas has a change to reach out to all the GM's

If teams are willing to give Hyman 8 years he should be worth a hell of a lot in a trade. I would be hesitant to give more than 4.

Hopefully he can agree to a deal with somebody and we can move him then go after a much cheaper replacement.

They might expose Schmidt and Holtby and hope Kraken takes one of them.
