This is probably a crazy idea, but any thought to running a 4 man rotation?

Price
Buehrle
Dickey
Hutchison

Put Estrada in the Pen?

With how much pitchers are babied now, it'll never happen. What you can do though is skip the fifth starter on occasion when there's an off day. Or just pick up a Mike Leake and not skip anyone :sarcasm:

Hey David,

What are the odds you resign with us?

Well, you know, I'm not looking too far ahead into the future, you know. I just want to focus on the now and, you know, help my team get to the playoffs. So I'm going to take it one game at a time and make sure I give 110% each time I take the mound, you know. Then we can deal with the off-season when we get there and see where the chips fall, you know.

You're David Price, not Ryan Smyth.

The only thing that makes me second guess the trade is the fact that our chances of re upping price are probably in the 1% range. Big gamble on AA's part

Because we totally know that David price reads he boards for his baseball talk fix.

In fact, it's confession time. I'm David Price. I have been all along. :sarcasm:

Good to know the cats out of the bag and you've always been a jays fan at heart. Why did you have to pitch so dominantly against us

Another starter would be ideal I'd think.

Hutch or Estrada back in the pen strengthens it massively

You forgot about getting pucks in deep.

Had to show AA how dominant he can be so AA would know to acquire him today :sarcasm:

Pineda going to the dl today could be a good thing for us. Forearm tightness. The only concern is that this may now encourage the yanks to add another arm

This is so awesome. Great trade by Alex. Wow. The key for me is that we still have Sanchez, Stroman, Osuna, Tepera, etc. for the future, so it's not like we've completely emptied the coffers to acquire two of the best players at their respective positions in the entire game in Price and Tulo.

This is going to be an exciting stretch. Kudos to AA for finally coming up huge when the team needs it.

Yes, this team needs to sort of run the tables a bit, probably needing to get 39/40 wins in the last 60-odd games, or whatever it is. But multiple teams do that every year and win the division or make the playoffs because of it. I'm gonna chose to have faith that this time it will be us.

Yeah, good on him for actually owning up to it.

Actually, I haven't seen a few of our buddies since the Tulo trade went down.

The amount of casual Jays fans on my Facebook page commenting about Price is a bit sickening. Although I have to admit it is good to have a buzz around the team again.

One of these things is not like the other.

True, but I'm a huge fan, so it's my own bias. ;)
But I do think he's generally under-rated. He's got some really good stuff and has had a very effective year. He's only 27, which is relatively young for a pitcher. We'll see, I guess.

That said, if AA includes him in a trade for another ace I could live with it. It would suck, but I really want to see this team win this year, and another ace/top starter would be another big boon to this team's chances. Keeping Sanchez, Stroman and Osuna is paramount.

Wow Astros are getting Carlos Gomez and Fiers. Already traded for Kazmir before and now this. They're loading up big time.
