So you think the Jays can go something like 9-4 in those 13? Good luck with that.

This isn't the late 90s/early 00s Yankees juggernaut. The fact that they're so far ahead in teh division is a miracle. Their offence is good when it clicks, but their rotation is falling apart and has to have some serious voodoo work keeping them from imploding entirely.

Just don't get your hopes up to retaining him everyone.

I think we all understand the risk in the deal. Glad to have him aboard regardless. At very least he gets to see what it's like here rather than the typical FA that sees it as a different world. If I were him I'd test free agency.

You know it's funny. Most of us said that the only rental we'd be willing to include Norris for was Price.

Now that it's happened, I'm sitting here feeling very exposed to the idea that he'll most definitely go to free agency.

I'm not sure they do this deal if they're not willing to at least make a concerted effort to sign him. No guarantees he does, but I have a hard time believing they don't have a willingness to try.

Its just everyone seems to expect that we will re-sign him and go on to build a powerhouse team for the foreseeable future

I haven't seen anybody say they expect them to re-sign him.

I've seen people asking if it's possible they could re-sign him (It is, nothing is impossible).

Others have asked about the odds of him re-signing.

I haven't seen any unrealistic expectations for what happens in the winter.

Well, regardless of re-signing Price. With the money we are freeing up this Offseason and the Tulo trade.

We SHOULD by all means be a powerhouse team for the next 2 or 3 years.

There's nothing wrong with optimism. Even if you disagree with it you should just keep it to yourself cause no one will really care for it.

I agree but they also don't make the deal without being in the mindset that he is a rental and won't be back. They'll try and who knows, maybe they compete financially, but this trade was made for the short term with anything else being gravy

I would do this trade even knowing hes gone as a FA since we only gave up a question mark in Norris and it doesnt make sense to tie down $200 million in long term salary to reward his TB years (Sunk cost). I just caution fans who think its a good bet to happen simply because we acquired him.

I don't think anyone is expecting it. Just that they won't be sitting ducks in the offseason. They know that if he goes, the Jays still need pitching. And there will be tons available.

4-2 in the first 6 against them. And that's with a ****** Dickey, ****** pen, no Tulo and Price.

Yeh, I was wondering if he thought this was 10 years ago or something. Even his outrageous record that he thinks the Jays will have to do is actually under what I think they will do. Best offence in baseball and then add a guy like Tulo. Are 4-2 against them already before adding Price and Tulo.. I think the Jays will do way better than 9-4 that's for sure

#BlueJays lineup: Tulowitzki SS, Donaldson 3B, Bautista RF, Colabello 1B, Martin DH, Valencia LF, Pillar CF, Navarro C, Goins 2B.

You gotta think AA doesn't do it without any hope that Price may sign or knowing the money is there. I think both of those are met.

People don't realize that Pitching Prospects are SO far from a sure thing until they are actually doing it in the Majors.

Norris has had a really down year. a #2 SP at MINIMUM? Are you kidding me? The upside is there but I'm not even comfortable saying he's a starting pitcher at minimum.

I just hope that he keeps going all in.

Could we add a guy like Revere to lead off and solve the OF situation?

Can we add a good reliever still? Or another lesser starer and move Estrada to the pen?

On a side note. Why haven't we brought up Pompey? Dude is killing it. Can bat Leadoff for us while Travis is out. Much better Fielder than Valencia. And just makes our line up and defence that much more solid.
