If we want to get someone of good value, it's going to come to moving one of, or possibly both of Robertson or Lilly. Which one is preferred?

I feel we have many Robertson's in our prospect pool/easier to replace. Lilly would make me think more. I get that dmen take time, but he hasn't showed me he's good in the playoffs.

What you hope is

Incoming RD with term >> Liljegren with term.

So Liljegren ++ for Incoming

So yes, moving Liljegren likely hurts more than moving Robertson, but the goal would be acquiring the better RD with term.

For all the takes here, I would be willing to bet that Treliving is going to acquire another defensive forward, not a defenseman. I think he is probably done with the defense.

Probably what happens. I mean I didn't realize Parayko has a full NTC lol. No way he waives it unless he's unhappy in St. Louis.

And I would ask, why not?
He's lived his entire adult life in St. Louis, and not very long ago signed a long-term contract to stay there. He isn't a kid anymore, and I have no idea if he has a wife and/or kids, but he's from the West and has no connection to Toronto. I just don't see the draw for him.

Bert could also be moved if we needed cap for Buch - just saying. Lots of teams would give a pick for him.
