His value is only to balance cap on a trade to a deadline seller. A selling team has no use for a UFA vet and no playoff team would value him as anything other than depth, his cap hit of $5M would require massive retention which the Leafs don't have the cap space to retain.

I would think he could be moved if there is a 3 way deal, and one of the 2 teams isn't on his NTC.

I need someone to explain to me why St. Louis is taking Brodie for the sake of a late first round pick and a tweener prospect. Why do they have to trade him now?

If we want to get someone of good value, it's going to come to moving one of, or possibly both of Robertson or Lilly. Which one is preferred?

I feel we have many Robertson's in our prospect pool/easier to replace. Lilly would make me think more. I get that dmen take time, but he hasn't showed me he's good in the playoffs.

I'm higher on Minten than most. By a lot I think. I think this organization really needs a prospect like him, a young and efficient 3LC that will be here for years.

But. If he's needed to grab Parayko and Buchnevich, you do it.

75% retained, with Gio, Brodie out the door. Jones to Marlies or claimed, Gregor waived... and it fits. I checked it out.
