What’s sad about the Lyubushkin deal is we will have given up a 2nd, 3rd and 6th for him and he will have expired as a UFA twice before any of those picks have been used. Kinda bizarre if you think about it. Hope we re-sign him just to avoid this odd trivia.

Carolina gets Guentzel (signed) and gives up a sweetener but the Leafs give up 3 pieces? Ya, no.

Well, they likely don't have what it will take to get one.

Plus, I doubt if that's the difference in a series with Boston or Florida anyway.
 
I don’t think the leafs have the assets. Teams are not high on torontos other assets besides Knies, Cowan and minten. Leafs have a late first and nothing else for a few years for draft picks. It’s going to be tough to make a trade.

I know we like the other prospects we have but it feels to me other teams don’t feel the same.
