I'd be good to sell Martin Jones for a 3rd or 4th rounder and call it a day. If a team has a last minute player they need to move, we can offer what we received for Jones.

A team like LA could use him

Devils could be a team also in need. I would do Jones for conditional 3rd. If they don't make the playoffs, it moves to their 4th in 2025. Something like that.

I think the Leafs are going to try and keep 3 goalies in rotation

You think so? See, I kinda think the opposite - that we'll need every one of those remaining 21 games to figure out who our playoff starter ought to be.

Not sure I see the point of adding Edmundson unless the plan is also add a legit top 4 guy on top of that. Boosh already has the bottom pairing usage physical guy box checked

Seems like they are checking into every option. Not sure to what end for a lot of the options. I have a feeling they are trying to flip Timmins and/or a couple of the Marlies forwards for a veteran defensive upgrade of some kind.

Yeah and if we can get a roster player that's more impact full than a #3G where were screwed anyways if he plays a playoff series

I think injuries + lack of anyone fully taking the reigns means they may want to keep their options open. Sammy and Woll likely get first preference but Jones is a fairly conservative third option to keep (plus he's dirt cheap) in case things flop with the first choices.

We'll see though

Not sure why so many are so high on Parayko. I think fans still think of him asthe hyped kid from a few years ago. unfortunately he isn’t that good. Especially given the risks associated with the contract.

Toronto
Colorado got better
Vegas got better
Florida got better
Rangers got better
Edmonton got Better

Not sure this team is good enough to compete with those clubs

His defensive results are good and he's still capable. He's obviously not 25 years old anymore and has had some injuries over the years but for the most part, seems like a big tall skating defenseman that can really help take away tough minutes from someone.

The idea to acquire him would be at a bit of a "discount" because of his contract and inconsistent results over the last couple years.

Factor in his primary partner last year was Mikkola and this year it's Leddy with some tough zone starts, it's a tall task.

He had back injuries a couple years back too but he's fine now apparently so that also helps.

He'd instantly be our top RHD, especially for playoff style hockey.

Question marks around his contract, trade cost, etc are all valid. But I don't think there's any question he'd be a solid upgrade for our blueline.

Built in LTIR reason to abandon him on Robidas Island. Of course that's getting way ahead of ourselves, we're not even sure if the Leafs are truly "in" on Parayko or if St. Louis is all that serious about trading him.

For me it's potential availability+ right sided + likely reasonable cost.

He has concerns but we'd mostly need him.the most over the next 3-4.seasons. the team can potentially worry about how to dump the contract after that

He's been in the rumour mill for a long time. It's very reminiscent of the Chychrun and Phaneuf (CGY days) rumours.

Not sure about the Leafs having interest but I've seen him linked to us in some way. But the Leafs don't have cap space to make it happen unless they pull a Dubas at last years deadline and trades 3-4 roster players.
