Is it safe to say Brodie, Timmins, Robertson, Niemela, Steeves, Abruzzeze and Minten don't have much value around the league?
He isn’t worth the risk. He is so bad 1 team is paying him 4m a season not to play for them. Another with serious cup aspirations and a major hole at C just treated him like a cap dump. And a 3rd had put him on waivers.Sometimes you have to take a risk and buy low and go some relaxing rejuvination massag
Johansen is a cap dump... Why on earth would you pickup that cap hit?Jarncock - RyJo - Marner
I don't think Robertson is good enough to play in the top six on a good team and I think he's useless in the bottom six. He's what the Leafs don't need, a non-physical forward who offers absolutely nothing to the team when the puck isn't on his stick.
As for Parayko, the term on his contract is an enormous plus, not a negative. He would be an incredible addition and would hugely improve the team now, and for the next several years.
Minten does but the rest is zilch probablyIs it safe to say Brodie, Timmins, Robertson, Niemela, Steeves, Abruzzeze and Minten don't have much value around the league?

This is what makes Sakic great. He doesn't get too attached to guys and his goal is to always make the team better and not get stuck in bad contracts or ruin the team's cap or flexibility to make moves. Guy is always thinking multiple steps ahead.
Seth's family sure is talentedChris MacFarland is the General Manager of the Colorado Avalanche.
I'm aware Mr Habs fan. Sakic is still the guy in charge and the one who has the vision for the team and built the Cup winning nucleus. Very similar to a Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster situation.Chris MacFarland is the General Manager of the Colorado Avalanche.
So you simultaneously see the glass half empty for Robertson and full for Parayko... can't say I agree with you there - I actually see it as the opposite
Johansen is a problem child, why would Philly want h8m back? Guy wears out his welcome wherever he lands…….
He's the only guy who is waiver eligible... pretty much the only reason he isn't in the lineup right now. Why, out of curiosity, do you think Robertson gets healthy scratched if that is the case?
Brodie at 50% retained probably gets mid round pickIs it safe to say Brodie, Timmins, Robertson, Niemela, Steeves, Abruzzeze and Minten don't have much value around the league?
Dream about a world without the salary cap?
Robertson, Brodie and Liljegren for Parayko 50% retained would leave the leafs with $44,000 in cap space.
A doable trade

They likely aren't getting that 1st round pick otherwise.Johansen is a problem child, why would Philly want h8m back? Guy wears out his welcome wherever he lands…….
